2) Amber’s Crafts and Stuff: Challenge #7 – Use a digital stamp

Well, three months ago I didn’t even know what a digital stamp was! But now I play with them weekly so this was an easy challenge for me. I got it done the day the challenge was posted but was hoping to get another one done but that didn’t happen (I like to push myself and do different cards for each challenge….the goal of a challenge  is to inspire you and help you get more crafty things done….well, that is my take anyway.)

The two big flowers, blue butterfly and bullfrog are all pop dotted to give it some dimension. Thanks for looking.

CHALLENGES:

Day 50 @ 365Cards.blogspot.com – Today’s challenge is to use the very Springy 365 Cards blog header as inspiration.  You just need to take a good look at it and then create a card.

I wanted to do this challenge but couldn’t figure out how to do it. Then I saw ltecler’s card on SplitCoastStampers and knew that was the look I was going for. Just loved it! I don’t do great with white space so the card took on its own look by the time I was done with it. But I’m happy with it! And I love watching cards evolve because ltecler got her inspiration from Freshn’Sassy’s gallery with this card. They both had stamping on their cards but I decided just to use up scraps I had. Thanks girls for the inspiration.

Well, it ends up not being for any challenge cause I’m a day late! I don’t know why it always happens with the challenge on Card Ideas from the Designed2Delight Designers.

But the challenge was to make a card for a man/boy. This is a birthday card for a male friend of ours that turns 23 tomorrow. He is like 6’7″ so when I saw this giraffe image I thought of him!

It’s all about the BLING.  We want to see you use some glitter, rhinestones, Stickles, or any other glitzy embellishment to give your project some sparkle!

I used glitter for my bling! The duck is covered in yellow glitter from Doodlebug.

2) Day 52 @ 365Cards.blogspot.com -

So here are the specifics of items to include in your card for this challenge:

1) 2 pieces of patterned paper you’ve had for at least a year.

2) Something – anything - that you’ve had for as long as you’ve been scrapping (this can even be a tool)

3) Ribbon that you’ve had for at least 2 years (or as close to 2 years as possible)

The green and plaid patterned paper is from Chatterbox (it’s not made anymore and is at least 4 years old)

Circle was made with the coluzzle (had since I started scrapping and still love it)

Ribbon is from Hobby Lobby from ever ago!

The design was inspired by Day 48 @ 365 Cards but I want to use this for Day 52 so I will have to make another for Day 48!

SC328, Clear Dollar Stamps

CHALLENGES:

1) Splitcoaststampers Sketch SC 328 – “You take the sketch I provided and use any stamp set, any accessory, and any kind of paper to make a card. So all of the cards have the same basic layout, but they all look very different.”
-It is fine to flip the sketch, change panel sizes, shapes, card size and border as you wish (unless stated in the write up for the week), a little tweaking is fine but let’s see those main elements of the posted layout please.

A couple weeks ago I was at a fundraiser crop and there was a booth there by Clear Dollar Stamps. They had a free make and take using the Hydrangea stamp and SVG file. The bottom layer is stamped with the stamp. The top layer is cut out on the cricut using an SVG file. Then you stamp on top of the cut out piece. Color the cut out piece and then pop dot it on the stamped image for a 3-d look. Well, I took the hydrangea that I made there and turned it into this card.

2) Amber’s Crafts and Stuff -  Use Ribbons & Bows. Make anything you want using ribbons and bows.

I was so disappointed I didn’t get to play last week and receive this image FREE in my inbox. But I had to get it because when I saw it I thought it would make a cute Mother’s Day Card. I trimmed out the flower that came with the image because I wanted to focus on the ladybugs. It reminded me of a mother caring/juggling her children and the life that goes with being a mother. So that is how I came up with the saying and the card. (Thanks husbee for helping me come up with the perfect saying!)

The image was printed on red cardstock. Then I punched circles out of black cardstock and glued them on.

I traded places with where the boxes went. I also opted not to put a box under the ladybugs but I still have an image there in the shape of a  long rectangle. Thanks for the inspiration.

Clearly iStamp Kitchen Clutter Digi Stamps

What a blessing God gave me this past week. I met the wonderful owner of Clear Dollar Stamps at a crop last weekend. She was so friendly and down to earth, even though she owned her own wonderful stamp company with some amazing products. She blessed me with letting me try out some new stamps she released today! And so I got to play yesterday, which I really needed (God always knows what you need)! I just started playing with digital stamps in the last month so this is all new to me. This was the first time I got to play with digital papers….and now I have a 12 x 12 printer on my wish list! CHALLENGES:

1) Clearly iStamp - CIC25: CAS or Clean and Simple Challenge

CAS is defined as a clean look with minimal layering and embellishments.

Chatterbox patterned paper, cardstock, celtic cross stamp and 2 brads. Clean and Simple….just my style! The cross is stamped with versa mark ink on blue cardstock. After trying different colors and techniques this simple approach worked the best.

2) GAB Challenge #10 –

This sketch was perfect for what I had in mind when I decided to do a cross and bible verse about contentment (see challenge below).  Thanks for the inspiration.

3) Day 37 @ 365Cards.blogspot.com – Use an image that represents “pure contentment”.

I think Philippians 4:12-13 – is perfect for what the secret to contentment is:
