Yummy Color Challenge (3-19-11)

Chocolate + Caramel + Another color:
Today is Nat’l Chocolate Caramel Day, so I chose this week’s color theme from this yummy holiday. Use 3 colors: chocolate, caramel and any other color of your choice. Neutrals can be used in addition to your 3 color combo.

My other color was Turquoise. We are having a wedding shower for a co-worker and I was asked to make the card. I was honored but does put some pressure on you to make the PERFECT card. Not sure it is perfect but they all loved it so I guess it will work. I made two and they couldn’t decided so they randomly picked and this is the one that won. The other is below if you want to see it for fun.

Day 19 @

1) Day 19 @ – Crushes are fun and sweet….okay, sometimes bittersweet, but that’s what should inspire your card.  You can use a sentiment or images to depict this.

When I saw the challenge to be about Crushes I thought about the Crush Soda. Probably not what the 365 Card challenge was looking for but it inspired me to get another card done and do something totally different.

Day 18 @

1) Day 18 @

challenge was to create 3 – 3×3 cards, all with a similar color scheme and theme.

I decided to do mine 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 and hope that is okay I saw what looked like other sizes being made so thought I would do the same. I just don’t have envelopes or time to make them for 3 x 3 so I went with what I had on hand that was square. On the bottom card I will put a sentiment on the green tag at the bottom and put a white brad on the end of it.

Day 15 @

1) Day 15 @

The challenge was to use the color scheme above to make your card. My goal was to stick with just those 3 colors.  Never would of put these three together….so thanks for the inspiration.

This card is for a male co-worker who lost his dad last night.

2) March – Use your Scraps @

The card base is the only thing that is not from my scrap drawer. But I have to say I don’t use peach often so it has been sitting around for at least 3 years!

Designed2Delight Challenge and GAB #6 Challenge

1) Designed2Delight Digital Stamps -This week’s new image is “Angel Caroline”, and it is a digital stamp set that includes Angel Caroline with her eyes open and closed, and two accessory images to play with–a heart and flower. 🙂

If you did not play along last week and receive this image in your inbox, you can purchase it at Designed2Delight store and play along to receive the next freebie.

I tried to color it with pens but once again was reminded that not all of us are made to be stampers! I’m a cutter and embosser so I will stick to that. Still love these images so I colored it in Photo Shop and printed her out!  Found the quote on the internet:  Angels may not come when you call them, but they’ll always be there when you need them.

2) GAB #6 Sketch Challenge – (see sketch above)

Day 12 # -Keep it Simple! Cover the front of the card with patterned paper, add a sentiment and one embellishment and that’s it.

Inside: …I really needed that!

This card was inspired by a card Just4Fun2 created for Delightful Inspiration. After not doing so good with coloring in with markers I colored the image in on my computer. DH showed me how to do it in Adobe. Like it a lot better.

Card Size: 5 x 7

An extra card I made

I was  trying to make day 12 Card at 365 Cards but this size (5 1/4 x 5 1/4) wasn’t working with the image I had. So I stopped with the original plan and turned it into  a Baby Girl Congratulations Card. Then it didn’t meet the requirements so I got an extra card out of the deal!  I will give this to my FIL’s girlfriend who is now a Grandma this week.

Patterned Paper – KI Memories

Congratulations! Stamp –

Flowers – Prima

Border punch- Martha Stewart
