Omg!! This challenge was perfect for me! As you can tell from the pictures most everything is SEVERAL YEARS OLD. Chatterbox paper….isn’t even made anymore! Oh either is the corner punch I used from EK success. Oh and the patterned paper of the Mother’s Day card is also YEARS old. As my husband says I don’t have a craft room…. I have a craft store!! But you just never know when you will need it and today’s cards are a perfect example of that!

For hopping along with us One lucky winner will receive a $25 Clear Dollar Stamps gift certificate for  digital images!   The Winner will be randomly chosen from comments received on a DT member’s blog. The winner will be announced on my Blog and the CDS blog  Thursday, March 22, 2012.

You know stress is not good for creativity. I have had most of the day to craft and I was so worried that I wasn’t going fast enough to get it all done that I started stressing….you know that didn’t go well. But I am finally happy with this card. I stuck to the traditional Easter card for a Spring theme. I used the cute digital stamp Triple Chicks. Yes, I still have that paper from YEARS ago. I love doodlebug so I wouldn’t use it unless it was perfect! This was actually a piece of scraps I had. Come to think of it the card is all scraps except for the green card base.

Your next stop on the hop is Linda’s Blog – The Stamper’s Touch.

Thanks for taking a HOP around all the blogs. Hope you left comments on all the blogs as you never know which blogs the winner will be selected from. Thanks for stopping by and saying hello!

Digital Stamp Day at Clear Dollar Stamps!

Yep, it is the 15th of the month so it is time to release some really cute images that I’m sure you will love as much as I do!

For my first card I used Tulip Wreath Digital Image

As soon as I saw the stamp my head started swarming with all the different card ideals I could do with this. I actually have another one I would like to try soon if I could ever find the time. This card was inspired by Laura Bassen at CASE Study Challenge….. check out her amazing inspirational piece that was the focus of Challenge #80. This was also HEAVILY inspired by my friend Stephanie!! I’m so glad God brought us together. She challenges me and inspires me ALL the time and she still isn’t tired of me yet!! Thanks Stephanie!!

You can’t tell but the flowers are pop dotted off the white cardstock to give them more dimension in real life!

My second card I used Friend in Need Digital Image

I decided to make this a Congratulations type of card. The inside sentiment is “Follow Your Dreams (they know the way)” which I got from Ginger’s House (Jan 6, 2012 post) I love her word art and she also cracks me up with her funny stories! She has the gift of writing that is for sure. Check it out….and if you want a funny store read the March 12, 2012 entry but I must warn you it WILL CAUSE YOU TO LAUGH OUT LOUD!!!

I was struggling with a design for the card. So I went to Splitcoast Stampers and found the perfect inspiration at  bmbfield gallery  Check it out super cute card! Thanks for the inspiration.

There is a TON of CUTE releases so check them out at Clear Dollar Stamps!

Circles everywhere!!

Today at For Fun Challenges we are challenging you have LOTS of circles on your project! Let’s see how many you can use. You can use paper with circles on it, embellishments in the shape of a circle or even scalloped circles. I have a total of 17 circles!!

CHALLENGES:

1) For Fun Challenges – CIRCLES and lots of them!!

2) Stampin’ Sisters in Christ Create a card or project that uses both dark and light. Opposite colors; black/white, brown/ivory, deep blue/baby blue, red/pink etc.

I let the paper do the light and dark color combination. I hope that counts!

3) Day 8 at 365Cards – How do you feel about circles?  We want to see them all over your card. Specifically, let’s see a minimum of 10 circles. You can use circle punches, buttons, any round embellishments that pass as circles.

4) CAS-ual Fridays – CFC43: Clean And Simple creations with a Sentiment as the Focal Point. Hope this is CAS enough.

5) Daring Cardmakers – Challenge Tessellation –    create a card featuring a tessellating pattern. You can probably remember doing tessellation in math class at school right? Basically all you’re doing is making a pretty pattern with shapes that fit together perfectly on all sides, like tiling. It’s up to you how you interpret the dare so it could be a pattern on a paper already made or even a pattern you make yourself, have fun!

I hope the pattern of the quilt fits this. If not let me know and I will erase it from the challenge.

SUPPLIES:

Cardstock/Papers: Cardstock – Bazzill (French Vanilla, other unknown Bazzill name), Patterned Paper – Jellibean Soup (Homemade 6 Bean Soup)

Accents/Tools: Cricut, Elegant Edges Cricut Cartridge, floss, buttons, rick rack, 3/4″ EK Success circle punch

May God’s love…

Inside:

May God’s love

heal your sorrow, and may

His peace replace your

heartache with

warm and loving memories.

I made this card for a lady at church that needed a sympathy card for a friend. To get inspiration I started looking through my magazines and found my inspiration on Pg 123 of the Stampin Up Catalog (2012). Then I went to my favorite challenges and found two that had the color combo of black, grey, yellow. I thought those colors would make the perfect sympathy card. Here is my finished product. The flower is a stencil from Lasting Impressions and is dry embossed. Then you sand the paper to get that look on the flower. I used an Cuttlebug Embossing Folder on the grey piece and then sanded it since it was Coordination’s Cardstock.

CHALLENGES:

1) Color Create Challenge – Challenge #91 – Yellow, Grey, Black and White

2) The Play Date Cafe (PDCC122) This week our suggested colors are:  Charcoal…Ash…Butter

SUPPLIES:

Stamps/Images: L9490-DAISIES W/SWIRL LEAF and L9471 – HEARTS & FLOWERS – Lasting Impressions Stencils

Cardstock/Papers: Grey Coredinations core essential paper, Lasting Impressions paper (yellow, green)

Accents/Tools: gingham ribbon, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder – Emboss A2 Textile Texture, pop dots

Goofy and Pluto

Today at For Fun Challenges we are asking you to make a project that fits the theme: Cat or Dog. I decided to make a layout since my goal is to scrap at least one layout a month. Last year with getting on card making Design Teams I only completed three layouts so I didn’t want to do that again this year! But I am already behind since it is March! Oh well, at least I’m trying.

It didn’t say the dogs had to be real….and Goofy and Pluto are dogs so I went with it! You know me I have to be different. As the journaling says the colors are not the typical Goofy colors because he was in the Animal Kingdom. I was bummed as I had bought traditional Goofy embellishments and paper. Oh well, I still like how these colors worked together so nicely. It’s a simple layout but I like it.

Hope you will play with us this week and make a project featuring a cat or dog! You can make any project as long as it fits the theme!

CHALLENGES:

1) For Fun Challenge – Cat or Dog

SUPPLIES:

Cardstock/Papers: Cardstock – Bazzill, Patterned Paper – Echo Park (Playground), American Crafts (campy Trails- Cedar River Trail), My Minds Eye (Everyday Flair 6 x 6 paper pad)

Inks/Markers: VersaMagic Midnight Black, Pigma Micron black pen

Accents/Tools: Xyron X sticker maker, chipboard brackets used as template, Cricut, Disney Cricut Cartridge

Inspiration: This layout in Scrapbooks etc (Scrapbook Page Sketch 056) was what inspired this layout but had to squish it since I put it all on one page.

I love this image! It is so perfect for the Card Ministry I head up at church. This is another card I did to remind someone that we were praying for them and that God hears our prayers.

We might not always get the answer we want but we will always get the RIGHT answer. God created the universe so I’m sure he knows what the best answer is for us.
