Masculine Baptism Card

***NOTE*** The quote is by Havner…not Haver. Ooops will have to fix it!

Tomorrow there are two adult males and two juvenile male getting baptized at church. Part of the card ministry at church is to give cards at these special moments in someone’s life so this is the card the adult males will receive.

CHALLENGES:

1) Critter Sketch Challenge #120 – Use the sketch provided as inspiration for your project.

This is the card the juvenile (8 and 7 yoa) males will get. The card was inspired by Stella Says Sketch Challenge #11.

This is what is inside:

You’re taking this step of faith

In obedience to the Lord

To be baptized in His precious name

And heed the Master’s call

To rise up with faith in God

And go where He may lead

To share God’s love to everyone

And touch them in their need

May God pour out His blessings

Upon your life today

So you may walk in His abundance

As you commit to Him your way

Keep on trusting in the Lord

No matter what you face

And keep your eyes on Jesus Christ

And live in His sweet grace.

Man, it has been a little while since I have had time to play in the Clearly Inspired Challenge over at Clear Dollar Stamp’s Blog. Since I was on vacation this week I was determined to play. The challenge is a color challenge….are you up to it!?!

I used the December Flower of the Month Digital Stamp – Poinsettia. I lifted another card from Christina MacLaren – CASE STUDY Challenge #95 Card. So thanks Christina for being such an AWESOME inspiration to me!

This months challenge was “CELEBRATE!!”

As usual Linda left it up to us to interpret it how we wanted to even though her version of CELEBRATE was colored in red, white, and blue.

I have made several things lately in my tutorials that had to do with the Fourth of July….see Rocket in the Fourth and T-shirt Rub-ons

so I decided to CELEBRATE another occasion…. MARRIAGE!!

This card was made for a couple at church that just got married.

As soon as I saw the sketch at Seems a Little Sketchy I thought “Wedding Card” so

since that is what I was making I just had to use it!

I had to change it up a little as I didn’t have the

awesome loop design they had at the bottom.

You made it!! You are at the end of the blog hop!

Thanks for taking a HOP around all the blogs. Hope you left comments on all the blogs as you never know which blogs the winner will be selected from.

Thanks for stopping by and saying hello!

CHALLENGES:

1) Seems a Little Sketchy #15 – Use the sketch as inspiration.

2) Card Crafter’s Circle Challenge #27 – Sentiment. I hope a bible verse counts as a sentiment.

Release Day at Clear Dollar Stamps!

It’s the 15th of the month!! Which means Clear Dollar Stamps releases their newest Digital Stamps. The designers really nailed it this month with all the gorgeous and fun digital stamps they made.

The first one I played with was Endless Beginnings Digital Stamp. I used the outline version and made my flower red and my highlights of the dove grey. I wasn’t sure how that was going to turn out but I’m happy with the results.

This card was completely inspired by Christina MaClaren’s card she did for the CASE Study Challenge #94 where she “cased/lifted” a card done by Joy Taylor.

CHALLENGES:

1) Card Crafter Circle Challenge #26 – Monochromatic color scheme. I do not do these very often but I love how Christina’s card was done all monochromatic with just texture on her middle layer.

2) Tuesday Throwdown #102 – Critter. I wasn’t sure if they meant bug or animal but the DT used birds in theirs so I figured I was safe with this card!

3) Stampin’ Sisters in Christ Challenge #143 Choose one of the following for your challenge this week…  1) use an image showing action OR… 2) just an image on the front of your card (no sentiment) OR… 3) make an action card (make it move).
I went with #1 an image of action – flying!

The next stamp set I used was Sassy And Fabulous Digital Stamp, which also comes as a Clear Acrylic Stamp.

(Eeekk! I just saw that I forgot to cut out the back piece of the yellow heel! Off to fix it!)

CHALLENGES:

1) Made Fresh Daily Wednesday Rewind #7 – Every Wednesday she will post a card that she made from a couple months ago up to a couple years and she will lift the card.  Then players are to Lift the card also! You can turn it, add to it, take away from it, as long as she can still see the original sketch in your card! Check this challenge out as she is really talented and has great cards to lift!!
