Graduation Cap

I have the best husband EVER!! I have several graduation cards to make for church and I love graduation stamps BUT the problem lies in that I’m not good coloring with black (well most colors but for sure black!). So I batted my eyelashes and asked my husband who is VERY GOOD with photoshop if he could color the cap in for me. He asked how I wanted it and I told him and showed him a picture of the wonderful cards the ladies had made for samples with this image. He colored this cap in to look like it was water colored!!! Is that not AWESOME or what!!! I’m truly spoiled….don’t tell him though….it will be our secret!! I got the design for the card from the sketch above so all I had to do was pick out papers! Got to love that!

It has been a long day for me so I think I’m going to go crash on my pillow.

Challenge #3 – Pick a Holiday….Any Holiday!!

So the 3rd challenge is still going on at Clearly iStamp until 7 pm (central time zone).

Challenge #3: Pick a Holiday…..Any Holiday!
You can do a traditional holiday (Christmas, Halloween, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, etc) or you could one that is not so traditional. I love looking up all the different fun off the wall Holidays (which some people think today is one….but we won’t listen to them!) that we COULD celebrate! So I have listed a few I found for May and June that I thought would make a great card.

May is: National BBQ Month, Bike Month and Hamburger Month!
5/6 (Monday) – National Nurses Day
5/7 – National Teachers Day
5/12 – Mother’s Day
5/13 – Frog Jumping Day
5/15 – National Choc Chip Day (YUM)
5/16 – Love a Tree Day
5/20 – Pick Strawberries Day

June is: National Candy Month, Dairy Month, National Adopt a Cat Month and National Fresh Fruit & Vegetables Month!
6/8 – Best Friends Day
6/18 – Go Fishing Day
6/23 – National Pink Day

Happy Mothers Day

I went with the traditional holiday – Mother’s Day. Only because I have several orders I still need to finish and Mother’s Day is NEXT SUNDAY (in the U.S.)!!!

CHALLENGE #2: Balloons!
Must have one or many on your project.

Hot Air Balloon

When I was deciding on what challenges to do I thought of all the wonderful Balloon stamps that Clearly Digi Stamps has in their store. This is Hot Air Balloon is one of my favorites and I guess I like it for Masculine cards as this is the 2nd or maybe 3rd one I made with it! It is so fun and easy to paper piece too.  I used a March 2012 Card map from as inspiration.
