Gingerbread Train Christmas Card

Candy Train Christmas

INSIDE: Wishing you the Sweetest Christmas ever!

I am so glad I played in Deedee’s Digis Monthly Challenge in November because I received this image FREE! And since I made a card with the December Image – Gingerbread Train I will get January’s image FREE. All you have to do is buy the image one month and play along….if you continue to play every month you will get the next image FREE!! And Deedee’s images are adorable!

I used MFTWSC154 as my inspiration. I turned it on its side…I like how the words were on there so that is where I got the ideal how to do this card.

August Card Class

Realizing I’m really behind in post my cards! Here are two cards I haven’t posted that we made in August Card Class. The other two have already been posted.

Another card we made in August Card Class. This was also from the paper pack I got at Hobby Lobby. Made lots of cards from it!

I thought I uploaded this card but I can’t find it so I guess I never did. This was a card we made in August at the card class I teach. The hats were an image from Clearly Digi Stamps but they are no longer in business. At our crop this past summer DancinIrish90 had a box of stuff she was trying to get rid of. This paper pack was in there so I grabbed it in a hurry. It was so awesome to make over 30 cards and still have most the pack left! Thanks Lisa!

I have already shown 2 cards we made in card class but here are the other 2 cards.

Joy to the World

This is a card I did for the card class I teach. I wanted an angel Christmas card so I asked my wonderful husband to draw me an angel and this is what he came up with! He designed it after our niece Kailee. I picked the colors and then made the card around the angel.

1) Dec Card Challenge – Favorites Category. I used Deconstructed Sketch #129 that I had saved in my favorites.

This is one of the cards that I designed for the card class I teach. I used a paper pack from Hobby Lobby for the Santa Image.
The design was inspired by a sketch and card that are very similar.

and a card I found on etsy that I saved in my favorites.

Purses and Cowboy Christmas Cards

Had an order for a lady at work to make Christmas cards for her daughter who likes purses, son-in-law who is a Oklahoma State University FAN and a grandson who likes rodeo, horses and cowboys. This is what I came up with. She seemed pleased as she looked at each one.

Warm Weather Christmas!

One of the guys at work has a grandma that loves flamingo’s and a mom that lives in Texas and likes southwest themes so these two images from Doodle Pantry were perfect for their Christmas Cards. He pretty much has a standing order for Christmas, Birthdays and Mother’s Days.

For the Flamingo card I used Fancy Flamingo and Santa Accessories. I got the ideal from Pat Dadisman’s card under the samples of Fancy Flamingo. I used Sketch n Scrap #16 for my inspiration. My husband added the hat to the flamingo in photoshop for me!

1) Crafty hazelnut’s Christmas Challenge #156 – Last minute cards. Well I made them on Monday so I would say last minute!

2) Merry Monday Challenge ##88 – use an animal on your Christmas Card

3) Totally Paper Crafts Challenge #197 – non-traditional Christmas colors

Christmas Cactus

I used the Holiday Cactus image from Doodle Pantry and an old Stella Says Sketch #135 for inspiration. Not sure if you can see it well in the photo but I used glossy accents on the Christmas lights. I like how it turned out in real life.

1) Daring Cardmakers Challenge – This little light of mine. I used Christmas lights!

Quick and Easy but OH SO CUTE Christmas cards!

A little while ago I did one similar in gold but it was a little more fancy then theses. We made these for card class and they were a hit. They said they had a WOW punch to them but were so easy.

Reindeer -blue

Reindeer -Purple

See what I mean! Totally clean and simple design! The reindeer come in those colors (and gold) so all I did was print them out and cut around them (leaving a little white edge). Put some pop-dots on them and there you have Christmas cards that you could mail out in the next couple days!  Oh and if want even easier then that Doodle Pantry even has Holiday Deer Quick Cards using this image….check it out!

Winter themed Birthday

Birthday Penguin

My hairdresser requested a winter themed birthday card for her 15 year old daughter so this is what I came up with. She did request teal and other bright fun colors.  I used the pre-colored image then just paper pieced the balloons and the scarf on to it. I usually don’t do flags but I thought this sketch,, was perfect for a 15 year old.

Oh my Gooseness!

Gooseness Birthday

So I am the worst about getting birthday’s right! My bestest girlfriend turned 40 on November 13th and I kept telling myself to NOT forget her birthday and get her a card in the mail. WELL, somehow I got in my head that her birthday was Nov 22nd so when I finally checked my book I HAD MISSED IT!! OH MY GOOSENESS!! The only good thing is she was in Hawaii with her husband celebrating her birthday so when she got back I emailed her to tell her what a bone head I was. Said all of that to say I was so happy when Laurie released this stamp this month because the saying was perfect for my boneheadness!! (there is a new word!)  I am really pleased how this all came together!

A ducky kind of Christmas

Deedee at Deedee’s Digis has started a new progressive challenge. If you play with the current Stamp of the Month then you will get next months free!! I love Deedee’s work (she use to be at Clearly Digi Stamps) so I had to play this month with Daniel’s Tree – Featured Stamp of the Month.

Happy Holidays - duck

Tell me that digital image is just not ADORABLE!! Anyone recognize or even remember this Christmas Paper from Crate Paper?!! It was one of their first few lines. This whole card was made with scraps besides the red base. I still have the diagonal patterned paper and the rub-ons in this collection. I used some of the rub-ons for Happy Holidays.  I was inspired by sketch #154 on 2 Sister Challenge Blog but it ended up taking on a life of its own which turned out to be a very simple card. But I’m okay with that because it makes the image the focus of the card.

1) Crafts 4 Eternity Challenge #152– Non-Traditional Christmas. This week we would like you to share projects with a Non traditional Christmas theme, colour, image or the project itself!  Well, to me the patterned paper is non-traditional as yellow is not typically a Christmas Color. Also the duck for a Christmas image is non-traditional.

2) Totally Paper Crafts Challenge #195 – Ho Ho Holidays
