One of the guys at work has a grandma that loves flamingo’s and a mom that lives in Texas and likes southwest themes so these two images from Doodle Pantry were perfect for their Christmas Cards. He pretty much has a standing order for Christmas, Birthdays and Mother’s Days.

For the Flamingo card I used Fancy Flamingo and Santa Accessories. I got the ideal from Pat Dadisman’s card under the samples of Fancy Flamingo. I used Sketch n Scrap #16 for my inspiration. My husband added the hat to the flamingo in photoshop for me!

CHALLENGES:

1) Crafty hazelnut’s Christmas Challenge #156 – Last minute cards. Well I made them on Monday so I would say last minute!

2) Merry Monday Challenge ##88 – use an animal on your Christmas Card

3) Totally Paper Crafts Challenge #197 – non-traditional Christmas colors

Christmas Cactus

I used the Holiday Cactus image from Doodle Pantry and an old Stella Says Sketch #135 for inspiration. Not sure if you can see it well in the photo but I used glossy accents on the Christmas lights. I like how it turned out in real life.

CHALLENGE:
1) Daring Cardmakers Challenge – This little light of mine. I used Christmas lights!
