Healing Thoughts

Inside: Healing thoughts and prayers are being sent your way.

I have 2 sisters that come to my craft class at the retirement home. Both of the ladies are in their 90’s (probably average age for the class!) but they show up every month they can. This month one of them couldn’t come to class because she fell and broke her hip so I made this card for her. Wanted her to know that she was missed and we are praying for her.

I used the March Stamp of the Month at {From the heart stamps} called Hamlet PigWit Think Spring! This card is a hybrid card…half computer colored and half with Tombow markers.

CHALLENGES:

1) March Stamp of the Month Challenge at {From the Heart Stamps} – Use the stamp of the month before the 31st and get next months image FREE.

2) Sketch Saturday Challenge #303pick any sketch from #215 to 302! I used sketch #300

SS-300-2014

3) March Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com – Favorites Category – I used a saved sketch from my favorites.

4) Card Makin Mamas Challenge #83 – Photo Inspiration. Use the photo as inspiration. I took inspiration from the yellow flowers, green desk and the color of the lamp.

SUPPLIES:

Digital Image: Hamlet PigWit Think Spring @ {From the Heart Stamps}

Cardstock: Bazzill (White)

Patterned Paper: from my scraps so I don’t remember (I think the green is Michael’s)

Inks/Markers: The pig and yellow flowers were colored in photoshop. The flower stems, grass, flower pot and butterfly were colored with Tombow markers (yellow 985, pinkish red 905, green 126, brown 947)

Accents/Tools: Fiskars scallop border punch, Stickles – yellow

Technique: Watercolor with markers, hybrid

This is what I have been making recently.

Hoppy Easter

When I was trying to come up with a card to make at the retirement home I started with these two. The bottom one I just couldn’t get…I think this is the 5th version of it and I finally like it!  The Easter Bonnet chick I think will say “Happy Easter to my favorite chick”. I really liked it a couple nights ago when I made it but now not so sure. So who knows there might be another version soon!

I do monthly crafts at a retirement home and we made these last year for Easter.  (I forgot to post that I made them)

TP Easter Bunny

I found them on Pinterest

They are made out of Toilet Paper rolls and paper! You can fill them with candy to give a nice decorative treat to somebody for Easter!

John 14_27

I love playing at Word Art Wednesday but it seems I don’t ever have a lot of time to. But today I got to play. This scripture is on there for free but I ended up buying the whole set (Peace and Rest Scripture) from Diane’s Daydream Designs.

I used all scraps except for the base card. The colors were inspired by the colors in the word art.

CHALLENGES:

1) Word Art Wednesday Challenge #122 – Anything Goes – John 14:27 featured word art

2) MOJO Monday #336 – use the sketch provided as inspiration. I had to turn my flower as it wouldn’t fit on the right.

SUPPLIES:

Digital Image: Peace and Rest Scripture @ Diane’s Daydream Designs

Cardstock: Bazzill (white, Blue Oasis, Whirlpool)

Inks: pre-colored sentiment printed on Canon Inkjet Printer

Accent/Tools: Michael’s $1 flower, black gems, EK Success PSN LE Lattice Chain punch, Cricut, Cricut Basic George Cartridge
