John 14_27

I love playing at Word Art Wednesday but it seems I don’t ever have a lot of time to. But today I got to play. This scripture is on there for free but I ended up buying the whole set (Peace and Rest Scripture) from Diane’s Daydream Designs.

I used all scraps except for the base card. The colors were inspired by the colors in the word art.

CHALLENGES:

1) Word Art Wednesday Challenge #122 – Anything Goes – John 14:27 featured word art

2) MOJO Monday #336 – use the sketch provided as inspiration. I had to turn my flower as it wouldn’t fit on the right.

SUPPLIES:

Digital Image: Peace and Rest Scripture @ Diane’s Daydream Designs

Cardstock: Bazzill (white, Blue Oasis, Whirlpool)

Inks: pre-colored sentiment printed on Canon Inkjet Printer

Accent/Tools: Michael’s $1 flower, black gems, EK Success PSN LE Lattice Chain punch, Cricut, Cricut Basic George Cartridge

His Name Is

Inside: He is Risen! Happy Easter!

Last month the technique challenge over at the Feb Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com was to create your own background with stamps. Well I don’t own a lot of “real” stamps because I’m not good with them and they scare me! So I asked if it could be done digitally and she said yes. I DID NOT create this image (His Name is) as Laurie at Doodle Pantry did so all I had to do was print it out. So I kind of cheated!! I didn’t get it done last month but was inspired to make this card with that challenge in mind.

I was thinking about making this an Easter card by putting “He has Risen! Happy Easter” inside. What do you think? I’m thinking the image could work for that but might have to make it brighter…the black might be to dark for Easter…what do you think?

Alright 4 flowers down….1,000 more to go before I make a dent in the flower collection! All scraps used! Oh I have lots of stuff I need to use. I need to retire so I have time to use it all!! Sounds good to me….to bad life gets in the way!

CHALLENGES:

1) Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 Challenge #8 – Use the sketch provided as inspiration. The original sketch had the image and piece behind it as a square. I did mine as a rectangle so it looks a little different but you should still see the sketch.

2) Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge #44 – Anything Goes. If you use a Doodle Pantry Image then you will get the Stamp of the Month FREE!!

3) Word Art Wednesday Challenge #122 – Anything Goes that is uplifting

SUPPLIES:

Digital Stamp: His Name Is @ Doodle Pantry

Cardstock: Bazzill (white, black)

Inks: pre-colored digital stamp printed on Canon Inkjet Printer

Accents/Tools: Prima Flowers, black gems, glue dots

Today I’m getting to create just to create. I do need a need a card for a secret pal but any St. Patrick’s Day card could work for that. I told him not to work about making it fancy with shadows and shading but I still think it looks great. I bought this paper just for this card….I was hoping to have a card class before March 17th but that didn’t happen. I used Sweet Sunday Sketch #209 for my inspiration.
