Winter Friends

Winter Friends

In the midst of studying I took a little much needed craft break. This is also for the progressive challenge at From the Heart Stamps. If you make a project with the Monthly Image then you will get next months image free!

1) July Card Sketch @ – Sketch #4 – This one had me stumped when it came out on the original blog but it just came together for this card. Love when that happens. Original sketch – Sketch N Scrap Card #12

3) Christmas Cards All Year ‘Round – July Challenge – Non-traditional colors
4) Craftyhazelnut’s Christmas Challenge #187 – Cute (must be a Christmas/Winter card)
5)My Perfect Life – Week 29 – Make a Christmas card and share it.

Washi Tape Christmas Card

Washi tape Christmas

This card was purely made for the product category – Washi Tape – of July Card Challenge. I have a hard time using washi tape. It never turns out like the cute cards I see. I think this turned out okay but not enough for me to make several of them.

1) July Card Challenge @  – Product Category – Washi Tape
2) Sketch N Scrap Card Sketch #29 – use the sketch provided as inspiration.

Cardstock: Bazzill
Accent/Tools: Paper Studio Washi Tape, chipboard (under the Merry Christmas sign), circle punches

Strawberry Birthday

Strawberry Birthday

Enjoy every delicious moment of it!

One of the ladies at the retirement turned 100 on July 5th and they had a little party for her. I wanted the card to be special so I found out that her and husband use to have strawberry patches so I decided to use that inspiration for the card. I used an image from Preserving Sweetness Color Set at Diane’s Daydream Designs.

1) July Card Challenge @ – Sketch Category – The original sketch came from Scrappy Sketches. Instead of the flags at the bottom I did rows of scallops.
2) A gem of a Challenge #124 – Spots and Stripes (I’m hoping the plaid counts as stripes)
3) Crafty Creations Challenge #267 – Let’s Party
4) Digi Sketch Challenge – In the Garden – strawberries are for sure in the garden!!
5) Seize the Birthday Challenge – Do a birthday card and if you want challenge yourself with doing the “topping”. I did not use the “topping” just did a birthday card.

Holiday Wishes in July

Yep it is Christmas in July! This past Saturday I taught a card class at a local retirement home and we made 3 Christmas Cards. The first card we did I posted last week and here is the 2nd card we did.

Holiday Wishes

1) Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge #48 (DPDC48) – Make it Christmas or Make a Splash.

2) A Gem of a Challenge #123 – Animals (any and all included)

3) Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge – Christmas Critters

4) My Perfect Life – Week 27 of making Christmas Cards – link up any Christmas cards made

5) Sparkles Christmas Challenge #42 – A winters scene

6) July Card Challenge @ – Favorites category – Recreate a card or sketch you’ve saved in your favorites either on this site, a blog, or Pinterest. I used an older sketch #211 from Stella Says Sketch @ Bugaboo stamps (SSS211). I rotated it and instead of using a circle shape I went with the shape of a stamp.

Snowman Cup

I have good news to announce!!! I’m a Design Team Member of Diane’s Daydream Designs!! Back in March I got a surprise email from Diane asking if I would like to join her team. I was flattered!! She has amazing images and is a Christian company which is just a blessing all by itself. I couldn’t join then as my plate was still full so I asked her if we could try in the summer. Well, here it is smack in the middle of summer so I’m going to jump in and design with these beautiful images.
