Merry Christmas

I love my husband for many reasons and supporting my hobbies is one of them. Not only does he let me have several rooms to store my craft stuff but he will also color digital stamps in Photoshop for me! And when I tell him to just slap some paint on I get this masterpiece! He is amazing and I’m very thankful.

So here is my finished card just in time for the From the Heart Digi of the Month Challenge. You make a project using the digital image for that month and you get next month’s image FREE!!

PROMO Beach Blanket Girl

Sometimes being a practical person doesn’t allow work with card making! It is hard for me to make a card unless I see a “purpose” for it so when I saw the beach image this month as the Digi of the Month set I wasn’t sure what I would make with it. After tossing around several ideals I decided I like this even though I don’t know what I’m using it for yet…so the inside is blank. I used Sweet Sunday Sketch #234 as my inspiration. I printed a second image and cut the girl out so she is pop dotted in the scene.

CHALLENGES:

  1. Imagine That…digis by Kris – Digi of the Month Challenge – make a project using the image provided.
  2. August Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com – favorites category – lifted the saved sketch from Sweet Sunday Sketch.

SUPPLIES:

Digital Image: Beach Blanket Girl @ Imagine That…digis by Kris

Cardstock: Bazzill and The Paper Studio

Patterned Paper: Recollections

Inks: pre-colored image printed on Canon Inkjet Printer

Accents/Tools: brads

Helping a kid raise money

When I was young I wasn’t in a lot of groups but my friends were and they had to do fundraisers for their teams. So I went with them to raise money by walking door to door selling candy bars or doing car washes. I helped out so much that team helped pay my way and let me go to state to cheer them on. So I’m a huge supporter if your kid knocks on my door….even if I don’t like what they are selling I will still usually give. I think there is a lot of life lessons in raising money for something you want.

So when I clicked on From the Heart Stamps to see if she had any new snowman I found a post from Faith asking for help to raise money for her daughter, Mekaela, who just made the All Female Hockey Team. They are traveling and need to raise money. So Faith is offering an AWESOME deal as an incentive. Go check it out (GO HERE) because if you love her stamps you will NOT want to miss this. I was most excited that she is including the COLORED versions of the stamps she is offering…she NEVER has colored versions so I was so on that!! And the most expensive is $20.00…which we waste on dinner at least once a week….so it won’t break the bank. Yes, you can give more but all she is asking for is $0-20.

If you are reading this and not into digital stamps you can still give by GOING HERE to her Snap!Raise page.

And you will get a receipt because it is tax deductible.
