Warm Winter Wishes

Warm Winter Wishes.JPG

This is the Jan Digi of the Month at From the Heart Stamps. If you make a card with this image you get a free image next month…and they are cute images!! I thought this image would be perfect to use with the colors in the Jan Card Challenge- Color Category so I sent my husband the image and the colors and he colored this in photoshop for me!! I’m so spoiled! Then I couldn’t decide what kind of card I wanted to make with this image. I saw the sketch on the Cardmakers Card Challenge and the ideal of snowflakes came to mind so I went with a Christmas card which is good because my goal is to make 1-3 Christmas cards a month.

I promise that is Berrylicious (pink family) and not a red on there!

CHALLENGES:
1) Jan Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com – color category – use the all the colors provided.
2) Cardmakers Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com – 01/11/2015 Sketch – the original sketch is a Pagemaps Card Sketch Jan 2014.
3) From the Heart Stamps Digi of the Month Challenge – use the image provided to get next months image free.

Horsey Holidays

One of my regular customers has a grandson that loves anything cowboys, rodeo, horses, etc so I try to make him a Christmas card in one of those themes each year. Since she isn’t celebrating with them for a couple weeks I didn’t have to have the cards made till now. So this is what I came up after my husband colored (in Photoshop)  in this retired digi that is no longer available.

Merry Christmas Kiddo!

One of the guys at work was driving to Hallmark and then remembered I made cards so he called me up asking if I could make his daughter a card. Not ever making cards for him and not sure what he wanted since his daughter is in college I sent him several images from different sites. He picked Cookies for Santa at The Paper Shelter. It has both pre-colored and outline images so it was perfect. This is what I designed with that image:

Merry Christmas Kiddo

His front had a different sentiment as it was more personal but in my hurry to get it done I forgot to take a picture of it. So I had to make another one to take a picture so it could be posted on my blog.

Beagle Christmas Sled

I’m always on the lookout for cute Beagle’s and Basset Hounds because there is a guy at work that has a standing order for his mom and aunt to get a card every holiday and birthday with a Beagle or Basset Hound on it. A lot of the time he finds photos on the internet and sends them to me so I can’t post them on my blog but this year his Aunt got a card made with a new digital stamp, Christmas Sled, from Imagine That!…Digis by Kris.

I was in such a hurry to get his order done I was only able to take a crappy photo of the original just to document what I made her this year (have to keep a record so I don’t duplicate over the years!) So I cut the left over paper so I could make another one and ended up cutting it for a rectangle card even though the original was a 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 square card.  I decided to make it any way and then make a square one too! So now I have a couple cards ready for next years craft sale!
