I made this card for niece who turns 14 on the 22nd of this month. I didn’t know what I was going to do for card yet. I saw the sketch at MOJO Monday and for whatever reason stars popped in my head with the #14 in the circle. I had scrap paper with those stars on it so I went with it. She likes the rainbow so I think it all came together nicely. I cut out the 2 larger stars then used punches to make the smaller ones. Which left a cool neg space star….so I made another card…see below!!!

2) MOJO Monday Sketch #434 – use the sketch provided as inspiration.
3) Allsorts Challenge #350 – Circle Cards or circles on your card – no Square. I have rectangles, stars and circles.

Cardstock: Bazzill (Yosemite, Grenadine)
Patterned Paper: cut stars from it – American Crafts (Celebration – disco ball, cover band)
Accents/Tools: Cricut, Cricut Cuttin Up Cartridge, Star punches, Provo Craft embossing folders (dots), The Paper Studio (stars), EK success 1/16 pop dots, Xyron X sticker maker
So while I was making my niece’s birthday card I made these cool negative space stars by punching out the middles. I couldn’t let them go to waste!! I remember another sketch I had printed out from Atlantic Hearts Sketch #146 and made this card with all scraps. This card took a little work to get it just right but I like the finished product.

This is an awesome card, Kathy! I love the vibrant colors, the contrast of the star shapes against the circles, and how that combination creates a sense of movement and energy, I am going to have to try to scraplift this one! Great job and thanks for sharing with us this week at AHSC.
