So there are two ladies at the retirement home that like special cards made for their kids (one has son and family and one has daughter and family). One of the ladies I’m super close to and she loves Poinsettia’s so I always make her sons card with a poinsettia. This year while looking through my Christmas paper and thinking of current sketches I saw this journaling card in the paper pack and thought it might work for sketch #3 of the Dec Card Sketch Challenge. This is what I came up with. I cut the poinsettia from the Wrap It Up Cricut Cartridge.
CHALLENGES:
1) December Card Sketch Challenge – sketch #3 – original sketch – retrosketches #241
2) December Inspirational Card Challenge – theme – Christmas/Winter
SUPPLIES:
Cardstock: Bazzill (French Vanilla, Cranapple dark, Rain Forest)
Patterned Paper: Simple Stories (Handmade Holiday Paper Pad)
Accents/Tools: Sizzix framlits dotted rectangles, EK Success 1/16 pop dots

I decided since I made the lady’s son a card that I would make her one too since she loves poinsettia’s so much and she is “one of my ladies” from the retirement home! I also made one for a co-worker to give his step-mom for Christmas.
I used the same paper pad that was used for her son’s card but a different design. I made the poinsettia a little smaller and doubled up the green on the bottom.
