Inside:

Oh what fun it is to ride in the jeep with you on Christmas Day!!

I made this card for my husband. He is a jeep guy and as soon as I saw this digi at JW Illustrations I knew it would be perfect for him. I used Digi Sketch Challenge (8/18/14) as my inspiration.
I used Doodlebug Scraps I had. I did cut out the digi to pop dot it to give it dimension.

Penguins sledding

A lady at work has an elderly friend that loves penguins. So this is the 2nd year she has requested a box card set to give her friend as a gift (then her friend will have 5 cards to hand out next year). I make the cards flat so it is easier for her mail. I used Tuesday Morning Sketches #328 as my inspiration. She gets 5 cards and 5 envelopes in the handmade box (see next photo).

CHALLENGES:
1) December Inspirational Card Challenge – Bonus – something that begins with “s” or “t” – toboggan sled, snowflakes, scarfs, stocking hat, snow, sledding

Santa, presents and top of the umbrella are all pop dotted for dimension. I saw the saying on the internet.

A Christmas Owl and Panda

Owl Christmas.JPG

So this was for one of the granddaughters of the lady at work. She requested an owl as that is what the granddaughter is into. I had been wanting to make a stair step card with these owls from Daydream Designs (no longer in business). I didn’t get the card done I wanted to make but I did use the owl! I saw MOJOMonday #477 sketch and thought it would work but was trying to figure out what to put in the corner. They are small but there are candy canes on the owls belly. So I went looking through my Cricut cartridges and found some that were perfect on the Christmas Cheer cartridge.

Cowboy Snowman

Cowboy Snowman.JPG

So this is for the grandson of the lady at work. He is into cowboy/rodeo stuff so when I saw this FREE digital stamp from Free Dearie Dolls I knew it would be perfect. When I was in OK last month I found that the bigger town I take my aunt to for shopping has a scrapbook/craft store. I found this wonderful paper there and knew it would be perfect for this image. I did change the trim on him to blue as it was red in the original. She had snow drops on the original but when I added stickles it turned it grey because of the ink. So then I went with Flocking but it doesn’t stay as fluffy once on the glue. So I’m probably using the wrong glue. Bu if you look close there is flocked snow falling on and around him.
