Recipe for A Happy Birthday

Recipe for a Happy Birthday - inside.JPG

One of my regular customers needed a birthday card for her daughter. Her daughter loves to cook. So I decided to do a recipe theme. There weren’t a lot of ideals out there and mostly were for birthday invitations. So I took some bits and pieces from some cards on the internet then added my own ingredients (ideals came from the mom on how they celebrate birthdays) to make a personalized birthday card!

The “lift category” this month in the April Inspirational Card Challenge @ scrapbook.com is to lift Cardiographer!! She is one of my favorites and is a friend of mine. She loves Doodlebug (so do I…friendship at first sight!) and she ROCKS it!! I keep telling her she needs to try out for their design team! Even though I did not “lift” a card of hers I “lifted” the use of Doodlebug which doesn’t count for the challenge but I least made a cute card!! Her cards are cuter but I tried! I fussy cut the presents out of some paper. And used a die cut to make the balloons. The recipe card was from Deedee’s Digis (no longer in business but she has some freebies on her site Papercraft Romance.)
