Skeleton Scarecrow

Skeleton Scarecrow Halloween

So one of the girls at work wanted a Halloween card for her mom that likes scarecrows. Free Dearie Dolls has a ton of scarecrow images. She just happened to have this skeleton scarecrow and the girl said it was perfect. Then she said “make it spooky”! Well this is as spooky as I could get with the spooky cute image! She loves it so that is good! I used Sketch #4 from the October Card Sketch Challenge.

Peacock

Boss's Day - peacock

So I had a couple last minute Boss’s Day cards (Monday Oct 16, 17) to make yesterday (she emailed Thursday asking for cards on Friday…good thing I was off!) The lady liked a peacock card I did in May for Mother’s Day but she wanted a saying on the front. So I made a new card with the same image (printed just a little smaller to fit on 5 x 7 card with different design). The lift category in the October Inspirational Card Challenge is to lift yourself! So I went looking in my gallery to see if any of my cards would allow for a large image and a saying on the front. Again I wanted to keep the focus on the beautiful image. I found the card BirdBrain Birthday Candle (which is inspired by MojoBella #25 Sketch)

I did print a second copy and cut out the peacock so I could pop dot it on the original to make it look like the peacock was really on the leaves.

SUPPLIES:
Digital Image: Pretty Peacock – Doodle Pantry (no longer in business)
Inks: pre-colored digital stamp printed on a Canon Inkjet printer
Cardstock: Bazzill (Raven, Pumpkin Patch, Sour Apple, PaulyPoo, Glow, White)
Accents/Tools: Cricut, Elegant Edges Cricut Cartridge, Cutter bee scissors, EK Success 1/16 pop dots

Peacock

So I apparently forgot to post this when I made this for a Mother’s Day order! (I discovered this while making a second version with this image…see next post) This was for a lady’s grandmother who loves birds and she requested a peacock this time. I wanted the image to be the focus so I made it pretty large which kept the design of the card simple. I did print a second copy and cut out the peacock so I could pop dot it on the original to make it look like the peacock was really on the leaves.

Birthday Flowers v1

I had a request for a birthday card for a lady that loves flowers and lives in Florida. I sent the customer some images and she liked Fred, She Said Designs – watercolor floral corner stamp.

So I found 2 cards and a sketch that inspired me so I decided to make all three and let her pick which one she wanted. Which also fit the Oct Inspirational Card Challenge – Bonus category which was to make at least 2 different cards with the same image….I made 3. I also used one of the sketches from Jillibean Soup’s Blog that they had posted for World Card Making Day. I didn’t use any Jillibean Soup product so I won’t enter it into the challenge but it still inspired my card!

*Note: this image was water colored by the artist and sold as a pre-colored digi! Which is great for us who can’t color well at all!!*

Out of the three cards she picked this one!

I have been studying for a promotion at work for the past 3-4 months so I only crafted orders that had to be done. I didn’t even have time to post them. So I hope to do that as life is finally calming down and going back to normal.

I made a birthday card for a dear friend of mine. I’m late on making it and sending it as time has not been on my side. Better late then never…I did text her on her birthday so I didn’t forget! I showed it to a customer and he ordered one for a friend of his that loves to garden.
