365 card project, Birthday
30, 30th birthday, 365Cards, birthday, feminine, flowers
A lady at work asked for a 30th birthday card for her daughter that likes green and pink. So this is what I came up with….hope she likes one of them!

Challenge:
1) Jan Card Challenge @ scrapbook.com – Sketch Category – she found the sketch on pinterest.

Does anyone even remember this paper by EK Success! Totally dating myself bringing out this stash!!
The bottom card I used the sketch from Day 363 @ 365 Cards Challenge for my inspiration. The challenge site is closing after 4 years which I’m sad to see it go since it was one of the first ones on blog land that I ever played in.

365 card project, Valentine
365Cards, animal, doodle pantry, happy valentine's day, hearts, kiss, kissy, lamb, lips, love, love ewe, MFTWSC154, MOJO325, pucker up, romance, school, SVG, teacher, Valentine's
and a few Doodle Pantry stamps then you will be ready for Valentine’s Day!! Which is not far away since it is January 1, 2014!!! Happy New Year!!
Today is first Doodle Pantry release of 2014!! I got to work with 2 digital image sets this month.
First up is Kissy Lips. I made two cards that are similar because I couldn’t decide what I liked better!

I used MOJO Monday 325 sketch for my inspiration. I also decided to to make them shiny by putting Glossy Accents on them. They went from dull to shiny just like real lips when you add gloss or lipstick to them!
The second card I made used an SVG file – Hearts Galore and a re-release of Loving Critters Digital Image (use to be a Clearly Digi Stamp). The cool thing about the Heart Galore SVG file is that it also come with JPEG and PNG images too. And to make it even sweeter Laurie is offering Free with purchase between Jan 1-9th.

Inside: Happy Valentine’s Day!
This is the second card I made using the sketch below. This time I stayed pretty true to the sketch.

CHALLENGE:
1) Day 362 @ 365 Cards – Playing with Sharp Objects. For this challenge, we want to see you use at least 2 “sharp” tools to create your card. I used Cutterbee Scissors and an Xacto knife (cut out inside of the lambs legs)
SUPPLIES:
Kissy Lips:

365 card project, Wedding/Love cards
bling, CAS, flourish, swirls, to have & to hold, wedding
One of the older gentleman at church asked me to make a wedding card for a young couple at the church that is getting married this week. I found out their colors are blush and gray. Karen is hosting October Card Sketch Challenge and she usually throws in a CAS sketch that just stumps me. I’m soooo not a CAS person. Well, I was not going to let the sketch get the best of me!! This is sooo funny but I was so happy that I conquered this sketch….I love the outcome!! Thank you Karen for pushing me out of my comfort zone (I like to give you crap but I’m truly grateful!).

The flourish is from Shery K Designs…it is a FREE SVG file.

365 card project, Clearly iStamp, encouragement, School
365Cards, books, CAS, encouragement, girl, pages, reading, school, simple

I am really happy with this card!! I finally made a CAS card that I like! I don’t do CAS and it is usually hard for me but this one came together pretty easily. I also love that it was inspired by Sketch #4 at the September Card Sketch Challenge @ Scrapbook.com. Instead of 5 small hexagons I made one big one. I wanted to do this sketch but it had me stumped for a bit….but not any longer! I was also inspired by Ceal’s card @ Simply Beautiful Blog and took the sentiment from it. I also went with the simple scheme to follow challenge #208 at ColourQ Blog – black, white and a splash of one color.
But most importantly I made this card for my niece to encourage her to read books. She is struggling in reading so I plan on sending this to her to help her along.
Challenges:
1) Catch the Bug Challenge – September photo challenge – school theme
2) A Gem of a Challenge #99 – use black on your card
3) Day 270 @ 365 Cards – Keep it Simple. Use only 3 items on your card – any three items, not including the sentiment.
4) Send a Smile 4 Kids Challenge – Anything Goes (as long as it is for a kid)
5) September Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com – Photo inspiration category
Supplies:
Digital Image: Bookworms Digital Image (last day to get it at Clearly Digi Stamps)
Accents/Tools: Spellbinders Hexagon Dies, pop dots, Zig black pen, computer

12x12 scrapbook pages, 365 card project, Christmas/Winter, Clearly iStamp
365 Cards, calendar, january, snow, snowmen, torn, winter
Good Morning to you!
It is time for another Gift Idea Tuesday and today I made Calendars! Do you realize that Christmas is 5 1/2 months away?! Not that far away so I figured I better start coming up with Christmas Gifts. I decided that Clearly Digi Stamps has so many cute digital images that would look terrific on a calendar that someone would be getting a calendar this year! Well, now that I got making them I think I’m keeping them…ssshhh don’t tell anyone!
First I started with the traditional 12 x 12 Calendar and treated it like a scrapbook page. I used this sketch from my friend, Melissa W. See her sketches at
her gallery on
scrapbook.com or her new challenge blog,
Simple Sketches.

When I started out with wanting to make a calendar it was going to be a Christmas gift for some lucky family member. But when I started looking for photos I didn’t have any that would work. I realized how neglectful I have been in taking photos. So that got me thinking….I will make it without photos and challenge my self to take photos that can fit into the layout. That way I will take more photos and have a scrapbook page done when that month is over. My plan is to cut that page off and stick it in an album when that month is over!

I think I’m keeping the 8 x 8 for me to take to work next year! Much better then the free ones you get in the mail!
I also made a card to show you how a card sketch can work for the calendar and a card! I just used the scraps left over from the calendar page so it worked out perfectly! Now I have one card done for Christmas too!

Now, you want to know where the challenge is in this, right?
We are going to challenge each other
to make and complete a calendar by September.
I figured we can do 3 pages in 3 weeks….surely we can! For every page you enter during those 3 weeks (up to 3 entries) you will be entered into a drawing for a $5.00 gift code for digital stamps at Clearly Digi Stamps. Then in September we should have a completed calendar! There will be a grand prize!! Anyone who completes a whole calendar (12 pages) will be entered into a drawing to win 1/2 the amount of Clearly Digi Stamps that you used on your calendar. So if you use 12 Clearly Digi Stamps to make the calendar you will win 6 Clearly Digi Stamps of your choice!! You don’t have to use CDS images to enter but it will get you more CDS stamps if you win the Grand Prize.
CHALLENGE: 3 calendar pages any size (with or without pictures)
Time: July 2 @ 10 am – July 23 @ 11 pm (Central Time)
Prize: $5 gift code to Clearly Digi Stamps for digital stamps.
Winner will be announced on July 24th @ 10 am (central time)
* You don’t have to make the pages in order. So start out with any month that you have inspiration for!
CHALLENGES:
1)
Day 182 @ 365 Cards – I’m Torn. I challenge you to use paper tearing to create a nature scene.
The 12 x 12 calendar design fits the challenge best. The card has a little bit of torn snow.

365 card project, Christmas/Winter

This is a card that the Youth at church (Christ Community Church) will make to sell for $1.50 to raise money as their fundraiser. This year they are donating all the money they raise to the Pregnancy Care Center of Springfield, MO. A week or so ago someone broke into their storage unit and stole over $6,000 worth of diapers, wipes and baby clothes. So they are going to try to replenish some of the loss. So since I have a room full of scrap supplies I donate the supplies and time to design cards for them to make. I try to keep them simple but nice enough for the cost of $1.50. I hope I accomplished that with this card.
I also tried to use up what I had on hand with cardstock and papers. So far so good! Remember this paper from YEARS ago!! Finally found the perfect use!
CHALLENGES:
1) 365 Cards – Day 272 – Super Sunday Sketch. Use the sketch provided.
SUPPLIES:
Cardstock/Papers: Cardstock – Bazzill, Patterned Paper – Reminisce
Inks/Markers: black pen for outline, Signo White pen (LOVE IT!!)
