2nd batch of Easter Cards

Well goodness! I forgot to keep posting cards! Before I get to Mother’s Day cards I better post the rest of Easter 2020.

Easter Embossed Cross

I made this card for a couple customers that wanted a Christian themed Easter Card.
April Inspirational Card Challenge – embossing

SUPPLIES:
Cardstock: Bazzill (white, Sunbeam, Heather, Pansy)
Embossing Folders: Darice (Cross with Script, Scroll Flourish Corner)
Accents/Tools: pop dots

Easter Embossed Cross - all three

After I made one for orders I decided to make some for my friends and family. So I made them in three colors that I felt fit the receiver.

April Inspirational Card Challenge – embossing

SUPPLIES:
Cardstock: Bazzill (white, Limeade, Blossom, Flamingo, Blue Oasis, Tropical)
Embossing Folders: Darice (Cross with Script, Scroll Flourish Corner)
Accents/Tools: pop dots

Coloring Eggs - outside
Coloring Eggs - inside

As I was working on Easter Cards I saw this photo journaling card and got to thinking about how I could turn into a Easter Card. I came up with the ideal to add the dots and the rest of the sentiment. I had my friend make it sound good and this was the finished product. I came up with this ideal because I like the fun part of Easter but also remember that Jesus is the reason for Easter. I sent this to my new adopted Niece and Nephews and they loved it!

April Inspirational Card Challenge – Inspirational Photo – I went with the Easter theme and the eggs.

Used Create with Connie & Mary Sketch #602 for my inspiration.

SUPPLIES:
Cardstock: Bazzill (Blue Oasis)
Patterned Paper and Journaling Photo Card: Doodlebug (Bunnyville)
Accents/Tools: pop dots, Queen & Co pink dots

Easter Chic on Eggs

One of the ladies wanted a card for her dad that is into gardening and native Nebraska flowers. So I learned that the daisy is a native Nebraska flower! So I added the flowers to the journaling photo card and then used Sketch #594 at Cards with Connie & Mary (I flipped it).

I made two cards so I decided to give one to my friend Dale.

April Inspirational Card Challenge – Product – patterned paper.

SUPPLIES:
Cardstock: Bazzill (Blue Oasis, American Poppy, Intense Kiwi)
Patterned Paper and photo card: Doodlebug (Bunnyville)
Accents/Tools: Doodlebug Sprinkles (spring), SVG daisy cut file

Happy Easter Egg

So I make cards for a guy at work and then I also make cards for his mother. I made Easter cards for the mother to give to her friends and son (watercolor paper cross card). Then I made this card for the son to give to his mother (parents). She wrote me today and said she loved it! The mom likes flowers so when I saw the journaling photo card I knew to pair it with this bright happy flower paper! I cut down the journaling card and put the dotted frame around it. I used Create with Connie & Mary Sketch #598 as my inspiration. I used a flower punch to add to the strip below the egg. Because some of the journaling photo cards are big I bought 6 1/4 x 6 1/4 envelopes so this card is 6 x 6. It’s big but not too big.

I made 2 of these and sent one of these to my Aunt Barb! Happy Mail!!

April Inspirational Card Challenge – Product – Patterned Paper.

SUPPLIES:
Cardstock: Bazzill (Blue Oasis, Bubblegum, Intense kiwi, Orange Juice, Mexican Poppy)
Patterned Paper: Doodlebug (Easter Parade, Bunnyville)
Accents/Tools: Doodlebug Sprinkles (spring), flower punch, Sizzix Dotted Rectangles framelits dies, pop dots

He is Risen - all three

I needed a card for a lady to give her son. So he got the green/yellow one since that was more manly. I used an older image from Clearly Digi Stamps (no longer in business). Since I’m not good with inks and watercolor I used paper that was already done for me!!

April Inspirational Card Challenge – Photo Inspiration – Easter theme

Cardstock: Bazzill (Kachina, Watermelon), American Crafts (lipgloss)
Patterned Paper: Recollections color splash 6 x 6 paper pad
Digital Image: Clearly Digi Stamps/Clear Dollar Stamps (Jesus Paid It All) (No longer in business)

Book Reader

I am really happy with this card!! I finally made a CAS card that I like! I don’t do CAS and it is usually hard for me but this one came together pretty easily. I also love that it was inspired by Sketch #4 at the September Card Sketch Challenge @ Scrapbook.com. Instead of 5 small hexagons I made one big one. I wanted to do this sketch but it had me stumped for a bit….but not any longer! I was also inspired by Ceal’s card @ Simply Beautiful Blog and took the sentiment from it.  I also went with the simple scheme to follow challenge #208 at ColourQ Blog – black, white and a splash of one color.

But most importantly I made this card for my niece to encourage her to read books. She is struggling in reading so I plan on sending this to her to help her along.

Challenges:

1) Catch the Bug Challenge – September photo challenge – school theme

2) A Gem of a Challenge #99 – use black on your card

3) Day 270 @ 365 Cards – Keep it Simple. Use only 3 items on your card – any three items, not including the sentiment.

4) Send a Smile 4 Kids Challenge – Anything Goes (as long as it is for a kid)

5) September Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com – Photo inspiration category

Supplies:

Digital Image: Bookworms Digital Image (last day to get it at Clearly Digi Stamps)

Accents/Tools: Spellbinders Hexagon Dies, pop dots, Zig black pen, computer

Our last blog hop at Clearly iStamp Blog….

If you haven’t heard Lori is closing Clearly Digi Stamps. You will have until Sept 30th to get any digital stamp in the store for 25% off.  Enter this code at checkout:  SEPT30CLOSING

Just so you know we are not going to be selling my husband’s digital stamps anywhere so if you want any of Patrick Dunnegan’s stamps that are in the store you have until Sept 30th. Then they won’t be for sale anymore (at least for awhile). His work is keeping him busy so he doesn’t have any time to draw right now and I need a break.

So this is our last blog hop at Clearly iStamp Blog and our farewell to show off Lori’s amazing product one last time. The theme is “Anything Goes” but it is also a tribute to this wonderful company that God so blessed me to be a part of.  When I met Lori I had never been on a design team and had NEVER worked with digital stamps. I didn’t have a blog!! Real stamping scares me to death and I’m not good at it so why would this lady with a stamp company would even think about letting me be on her Design Team was beyond me!! It had to be God because she sent me Kitchen Clutter Digital Image and asked me to try out using that digital stamp. So I did and sent her several samples hoping she would like one of them!! Check out the post here for all of the samples.  But here are two of my favorites:

Towel - thank you card

Dirty Dishes Runneth over

So in March 2011 I got a blog and in April 2011 Lori invited me to be on the Design Team. She hasn’t been able to get rid of me yet!!

So when trying to decide what to do for this blog hop I was torn from using Kitchen Clutter or an SVG file since my first assignment on the team was to make samples for SVG files. But I ended up going with what I love about the company….It’s Christian. The people, the owner, the stamps… all Christian. Thank you Lori for having a Christian company out there with Christian stamps. The stamps have been used and will be used in my church card ministry and I thank you for having that product out there. That is one thing I will miss.
