Sunny Thought Kit – Annie’s Card Making Kit

Trying to clean my craft room that is beyond a disaster. There is so much to do to get it back in order. One of the things are cards laying around with sketches so I can post them. But as you tell the last few years I haven’t posted much. And this past fall/winter (2022) I didn’t even make any Christmas cards for orders. Just overwhelmed and busy. But in starting to get my life back under control I’m cleaning my craft disaster.

Here are some cards I have made in past year or two!!

I made this for an order. I used the Annies Cardmaker Kit of the Month Club – May 2021 – Sunny Thoughts. Then I made this one as version 2 with the supplies.

Water Can Flowers - Supplies:
Die Cut Flower Can - Annie's CardMaker Card Kit - Sunny Thoughts
Cardstock: Bazzill
Embossing Folders: Stampin Up - Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder, Cricut Cuttlebug - Swiss Dots
Happy Birthday Die: Creative Expressions Craft Dies - Happy Birthday (CEDSS009)

Beach Girl

PROMO Beach Blanket Girl

Sometimes being a practical person doesn’t allow work with card making! It is hard for me to make a card unless I see a “purpose” for it so when I saw the beach image this month as the Digi of the Month set I wasn’t sure what I would make with it. After tossing around several ideals I decided I like this even though I don’t know what I’m using it for yet…so the inside is blank. I used Sweet Sunday Sketch #234 as my inspiration. I printed a second image and cut the girl out so she is pop dotted in the scene.

CHALLENGES:

  1. Imagine That…digis by Kris – Digi of the Month Challenge – make a project using the image provided.
  2. August Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com – favorites category – lifted the saved sketch from Sweet Sunday Sketch.

SUPPLIES:

Digital Image: Beach Blanket Girl @ Imagine That…digis by Kris

Cardstock: Bazzill and The Paper Studio

Patterned Paper: Recollections

Inks: pre-colored image printed on Canon Inkjet Printer

Accents/Tools: brads

Float to your Happy Place

HappyPlace

Oh I would love to be somewhere tropical or anywhere with water really (I’d even take a lazy river or pool!)….then I would be in my happy place! I realized that today is my really only day off till the end of the month since I’m getting my niece on Monday-Tuesday. So I decided I better get my Progressive challenges done. Which will shock them because I’m usually posting with only hours to spare! I decided to paper piece this image since my husband has been busy with work I didn’t want to ask him to color it. Took longer but I love it. I might ask him to color it in these colors when he has time so I can make more with my left over paper. Too hard to make more than one when you paper piece! I love how this turned out. It came together pretty easy since I found the perfect sketch at Mojo Monday and then found the color scheme at Colour Q.

CHALLENGES:

1) From the Heart Stamps – Digital of the Month Stamp Challenge – use the digital stamp provided and get next months image FREE!

2) Colour Q #300 – use the colors provided to make your project

Water You up to

When I saw this image and saying last month I knew it would be perfect to send to my friend this summer. I have kept up pretty good sending her a card a month…been late a few months…but still going strong. So I figured this would be perfect for July or August and it’s just so cute with that saying! It fit in perfectly for the “Beach” challenge at Outlawz CAS Challenge. Now CAS is not my choice of style for card making but I do like how this one came out.

I bought this embossing folder a couple months ago knowing it would come in handy…just looks like water or space ship to me! So I was so excited when I looked in my embossing folders and saw it! It’s perfect…at least I think so. I also used an EK Success border punch that also reminding me of bubbles in water. Paired that with a Clean & Simple Stamping Sketch from 01/14/2011 and this was the result.

CHALLENGES:

1) July Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com – Favorites – lift a card or sketch that is in your favorites

2) Crafter’s Cafe Challenge #123 – Summertime Fun

Scrapbooking Blessings Club has an Anything Goes challenge this month with an optional twist of Watercolors. I usually try to do the twist because I like challenges that make me think outside the box or outside my comfort zone. I did try to do the twist but after several failed attempts I went back to the good ol’ faithful pre-colored digital image!

Wow! Just made that deadline!! Why I scheduled a craft the same weekend as Mother’s Day weekend is beyond me. I know I have several card orders to do every year for Mother’s Day. But somehow the good Lord helped me to get it all done!

I made this card for the progressive challenge at From the Heart Stamps. Each month she has a digi of the month and if you make a project using it then you get next month’s image free. I loved this saying so I decided to go with that. I also needed a card to mail to my best friend as I decided this year I was going to mail her a card each month. I have done good so far except I didn’t get the card in the mail yesterday so it was the first month I missed. But I plan on mailing it tomorrow so I will mail two in May…hope that counts! I also decided I would use this card as one we will make at the Retirement Home next Saturday. I found 3 different patterned papers in my stash and this is what we will make!

Did you see how PigWit was colored? Well, I batted my eyelashes and asked my husband to color him in photoshop for me. He did and turned the outline a mauve and I loved it….why didn’t I think of that!

CHALLENGES:

1) From the Heart Stamps – use the digi of the month to create a project and get next month’s image FREE!

2) Crafty Cardmakers and More Challenge #137 – Dots. I used big dots but they are still dots!

SUPPLIES:

Cardstock: Bazzill (white), Paper Studio @ Hobby Lobby (pink)

Patterned Paper – very old old stuff! 🙂

I go Bananas!

I go bananas

Oh Deedee needs to stop making these adorable images! The image this month has sparked so many ideals in my head! I was going to work on other stuff this week and not make a card for the challenge but once I saw Anna’s cute card I decided I had to go ahead and make this!!

I don’t normally do CAS but this is what was inspired when I saw the digi and sketch #36 at Seize the Sketch. I cropped the bananas from the digi paper included in the digital stamp. I then placed them in a word document. I printed it out on bazzill white. I cut out an extra big banana and pop dotted it. That is the only dimension to this card.

CHALLENGES:
1) August Card Challenge – Favorites Category – I used Seize the Sketch #26 that I saved in my favorites.
2) My Time to Craft Challenge #256 – Food and/or Drink
3) SweetStamps Blog Challenge #183 – Anything Goes

4) Deedee’s Digis August Monthly Challenge – use the digital stamp of the month and get next month’s image free.

Accent/Tools: cutter bee scissors
