I am part of a thread on scrapbook.com called Operation Happy Mail. Basically if you know someone that could use Happy Mail you send the hostess a PM and then she announces she has a person that is need of Happy Mail. If you send a card/note then great or if life is busy you can catch the next one.

So I got a name over a month ago and was praying about what to send and when to send. Well a couple weeks ago I sent this card. (See previous post for the male version). A lady has been going through a lot of health issues and needed some encouragement. I used Mojobella Sketch #21 as my inspiration. The circle patterned paper was old KI Memories scraps I had left over. I added a couple extra circles and flipped the sketch. I also got to use my new rectangle dotted die!! Happy dance!!!

Warm Winter Wishes

This is the Jan Digi of the Month at From the Heart Stamps. If you make a card with this image you get a free image next month…and they are cute images!! I thought this image would be perfect to use with the colors in the Jan Card Challenge- Color Category so I sent my husband the image and the colors and he colored this in photoshop for me!! I’m so spoiled! Then I couldn’t decide what kind of card I wanted to make with this image. I saw the sketch on the Cardmakers Card Challenge and the ideal of snowflakes came to mind so I went with a Christmas card which is good because my goal is to make 1-3 Christmas cards a month.

I promise that is Berrylicious (pink family) and not a red on there!

Yep it is Christmas in July! This past Saturday I taught a card class at a local retirement home and we made 3 Christmas Cards. The first card we did I posted last week and here is the 2nd card we did.

Whimsy Garden Fence

Oh this is sooo close to the dead line….10 min before it closes! This is a month long challenge and for some reason I can never get to it till the end. This time I cut too close! I am not great at coloring digital stamps so a lot of time I use pre-colored digitals. But Faith pushes me out of my comfort zone and makes me drag out my Tombow markers! So after several tries tonight I gave up and went to spend time with the hubby. Around 1030 I came back into my craft room and thought what the heck might as well try to see if I can get the challenge done. I prayed the whole time and it came out (even with a water blob at the very end)!! God even hears our crafting prayers if we will seek him in all that we do. So that left me 30 min to design the card. I’m not happy with it but it’s not horrible either. I might re-do it or I might leave it….depends on how I feel in the morning since it is midnight and I’m pooped!

One of the guys at work wanted a Mother’s Day card with a Rainbow theme since his mother loves rainbows. This card was inspired by a card I found on Pinterest – http://iminhaven.blogspot.com/2012/01/color-my-world.html I didn’t have a flower die or punch that would work for this so a trip to Michael’s was the solution. I bought a Martha Stewart anywhere punch of a butterfly. It was too big to do the original design so this is what I came up with.

I did a 2nd card and messed up on the punching so I put the sentiment on the outside. Which do you like better?? Please let me know as I want to make more and I can’t decide which one to do.

I made this for another guy at work. He has 3 boys and he wanted that represent on the card. Since I was already making an Owl card for my boss who has 4 kids I stuck with the owls for this card too.

I Love Us

I made this card for my husband for Valentine’s Day. I wanted it to be masculine and didn’t want pink on the card (the bow doesn’t count!!). It didn’t turn out as super cute as I had in my head but I think he will like it.

Valentine Card for Kids

I guess it could be for an adult but I made it with the intention for the ladies at the retirement home to send to their grandchildren.

I used the Heart Sheep Digital Image from Doodle Pantry.  I used Mojo Monday #309 Sketch as my inspiration.

Yes, I know it is NOT December 1st but Laurie at Doodle Pantry decided to release the stamps earlier and have a SALE at the same time!!! How AWESOME is that!! I then got to play with Mustache SVG file. There is also a digital image Mustache Mish Mash if you would rather have it as an image.  I saw the hat/heart/mustache ideal on the internet and liked it. Then I saw the saying on a different site and liked it. So I decided to combine the two into my own unique card! I used the Try Stampin’ on Tuesday Sketch #145 as my inspiration.
