Hooked on You

So I saw a digital image of a two hooks made into a heart. So I thought I bet that would look cool to actually use real fishing hooks….and this is the outcome. I have a couple ladies that like fishing themed love cards so I sent the ideal to them and they said go for it! So hopefully they like the outcome.

CHALLENGES:
1) Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #250 – use the sketch as your inspiration. Well I couldn’t work in the strings so I left them off.

SUPPLIES:
Cardstock: Bazzill (French Vanilla)
Patterned Paper: The Paper Loft (Hooked on Fishing – trolling)

Kissy Fish

So I had been trying to think how to make the “baby and momma valentine card” into one that could be given to a husband from a wife only. So I came up with this Kissing Fish version! I used water color design paper from Michael’s to make the fish and the background. Love paper that lets me cheat cause I can’t make my own water color paper…doesn’t turn out as good! I used the same Tuesday Morning Sketch #388 as my inspiration.

Feb Card Inspiration Challenge @ Scrapbook.com – theme category – Love.

2 Hearts Anniversary Card

2-hearts-anniversay-square

I made this one and decided I liked it enough I made another one for another lady who also needed an anniversary card. I made the rectangle one because she needed to mail it right away so it couldn’t be any special postage or mailing to it (square cards cost .68 and have to be Hand Stamp Only…no machine)

The bonus sketch picked out by LindsayE for the November Card Sketch Challenge inspired this card. I needed something that would work with 2 hearts and was romantic and that sketch seemed like it would work. I went through my scrap drawers and found pretty paper and here you have the finished product.

CHALLENGES:
1) November Card Sketch Challenge – bonus sketch. Original sketch was Cardabilities #131.
2) November Inspirational Card Challenge – Product – punches. Used Fiskars border punch.

SUPPLIES:
Cardstock: Bazzill (Crabapple dark)
Patterned Paper: Chatterbox
Accents/Tools: doilies, Memory Box Botanical stem die, Recollections pearls, Cricut, Basic George Cricut Cartridge

13th Anniversary Sage

A lady at work requested a Happy 13th Wedding Anniversary for her daughter and son-in-law. She said one of their weddings colors was Sage. I used the pagemaps sketch that was Sketch #1 in the June Card Sketch Challenge. Instead of the 6 flowers I did 2 hearts in that space. I used lace because that was the traditional gift for the 13th anniversary.

CHALLENGES:
1) June Card Sketch Challenge @ Scrapbook.com – Sketch #1

SUPPLIES:
Cardstock: Bazzill (lily pond, spring breeze)
Accents/Tools: lace, Embossing Folder (Darice – Layered Hearts, Cuttlebug – D’vine Swirl), paper piercer, fiskars corner rounder small, EK Success 1/16 pop dots

Love Birds.JPG

I’m so excited about this card. I saw the challenge at Scrapbook Blessings Club to make a Valentine/Love card using Christmas Stash and didn’t think much of it since I had all my Valentine cards done. Well while I was working on a Christmas card using old stash I saw the perfect stickers that looked nothing like Christmas but were all about Love! I had also been wanting to do sketch #3 at the Cardmakers Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com but the inspiration hadn’t come to me till now. So not only did I use old old old supplies I was challenged and came up with a cute card. Love when that happens!! Haven’t been able to just play like that for a long time.
