A lady at work told me her sister was diagnosed with breast cancer and was starting 15 weeks of chemo. She wanted to know if I could make mini or small regular cards of encouragement so she could have her sister open one every week of chemo. She just needed them within the week because she was going to see her. So I prayed because it was going to be tough to get 15 cards done in one week and God said "tell her yes" so I did. He made all the cards come together so nicely and fairly quick. She loved them and knew her sister would too!
She told me that her sister was a Christian and more of a flower/beauty type of girl. So I knew I had enough stuff in my craft room so I went looking and found so much wonderful stuff that fit what I felt she wanted for her sister.
This two cards were made using Stampin' Up supplies (I believe both are discontinued but if you have them like me maybe this will inspire you!) But they do still have the Hand Penned Petals Stamp Set so I'll link my friends site. I have not used the stamps yet just the beautiful cards in the card pack.

I need to be better about posting my cards so I might as well start with the Mother’s Day cards I made for this year. I haven’t been posting because I haven’t had time to list all the supplies that go with them. But I’m going to try to post them and add to the supplies as I have time. If there is something I used you want to know more about just ask me in the comments and I’ll let you know.
So this was for all the cowboy/Texan mom’s out there! I made a card with this image years ago called Cowgirl Flowers but decided to make a new version this year for some new customers that wanted this theme for their Mother’s Day card.

I needed a baby girl card for one of the guys at work. She was born in May so I’m doing pretty good for me!! Several Christmas’ ago my husband picked out scrapbook supplies for one of my Christmas gifts. He picked out this ephemera pack by Carta Bella “It’s a Girl”. I made this card last year for an order. I needed a birthday card for her daughter that likes to travel and has traveled. I used the Craftsmart Travelogue paper pad and the Craft Smith Working on my Fitness paper pad.
Then in February I needed a birthday card for her son-in-law and he is pilot. So I used the Craftsmart Travelogue paper pad again to make this birthday card. The banner is from a package I got on sale at Michael's a long time ago.
SUPPLIES:
Cardstock: Bazzill (Blue Calypso, Admiral)
Patterned Paper: Craftsmart (travelogue)
Accents/Tools: Happy Birthday tag, gold brad
Then a couple days ago I made this card for the lady to give her daughter’s father-in-law who is turning 92. He was a pilot in the military a long time ago. I again used an image from the Craftsmart Travelogue Paper Pad.

I needed some anniversary cards for an order. As I was looking for stuff for the March Inspirational Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com I came across a sketch with a card that I really liked so I lifted it. The original sketch was a Fusion Card Sketch but I lifted a DT members card. I like how she used plaids but I added more colors as I don't do white on white well. I then wanted to see what it would look like with polka dots. I made them in different colors too but these are the two she picked.

So we went to Texas this past week for a week of craftiness! And it was just what I needed. We were snowed in so we had nothing to do but relax and play. Before the snow hit we met up with another crafty friend in the area that is a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator and she put on a little get together/card class. She had the You Are Amazing Card Kit for us to split so we could make 2 cards each. I love the stuff in the kit but the cards are not my style so I asked if I could make cards at home in my own style and she said I could. I did not think the shinny blue paper went with these colors and the design just didn’t speak to me. These are my versions made with the kit stuff! Still have a couple more to make but these spoke to me while I was cleaning so I crafted instead of cleaning!!
Watering Can Card:
I had the watering can and tulips in my die cuts and had not used them yet and they were perfect...at least in my opinion!!
I used sketch #5 of the Feb Card Sketch Challenge @ Scrapbook.com. I'm also entering it into the Feb Inspirational Card Challenge - product - flowers.
SUPPLIES:
Patterned Paper - Stampin' Up (You are Amazing Card Kit)
Cardstock: Bazzill (Piglet, Candle, Parakeet)
Metal Dies: Impression Obsession Dies (IO Dies) - Tulips (die147-A), Watering Can (die155-A)
Embossing Folder: Cuttlebug (swiss dots)
Wild Flowers Card:
I originally did the design horizontal with a big sentiment stamp in the middle and two flower lying across the card. Well my first attempt one of the yellow stripes on the end was way skinner then the other end. So I decided if I turned it horizontal then it looked better. In doing so I took off the sentiment and placed the three flowers and liked it better. This 2nd card I was able to get the yellow layers more even. I used Sketch #1 from the Feb Inspirational Card Challenge (long and skinny 9 1/4 x 3 3/4 fits in long skinny envelope usually used for bills....much better to get this than bills!!) I thought these wildflowers stems #2 from Tim Holtz matched the paper pretty darn good! Was happy how this turned out.

So one of my friends is a regular customer of my cards. She needs several birthday cards in January and this is for her granddaughter that is turning 2 and loves Peppa Pig. Knowing nothing about Peppa except that she exist I went to the internet. From looking at images and using the Bonus Sketch I came up with this! I turned the sketch horizontal and didn't put Peppa on a mat. I know the cloud shape is usually blue but that didn't look right to me so I went with white. I thought this turned out pretty good for my first Peppa Pig card!

CHALLENGE: Imagine That Digi Stamp - 8th Birthday - 1st week challenge - Ribbons and/or Bows. Well I got ribbon and that was a challenge. I have a ton of ribbon but don't always use it and when you tell me I should use then none of the cards turn out or I can't find an image that goes with ribbon or bows! But I'm happy with how this turned out. I needed it for an order that I have to deliver today!

No Ifs, Ands, or Butts about it… Have a Happy Birthday!
Since 2013 I have been making Basset and Beagle cards for one of my co-workers to give to his mom, girlfriend and aunt. So his mom’s birthday is Feb 4th and Aunt’s birthdays is Feb 5th. So I found these adorable “butt” portraits of dogs and paired with this saying I came up with these birthday cards! Aunt is beagle owner and mom is Basset!! Which then gave me an idea for Valentine’s card for his girlfriend so stay tuned for that one!!
I have a standing order for one of the guys at work to make his wife sunflower cards for her birthday, valentines and Mother’s Day. This is her birthday card this year.
My inspiration came from this card came from Lynn’s Locker
