Bunny Train

While looking at my supplies I saw this train and remembered a sketch I had seen which I thought would pair together great. One of the ladies at work just told me her mom likes trains so this will be for her to give to her mom.

So when I did the Easter Train card I decided to not use the cart with the paint brushes and used the jelly bean one instead. Easter Cards

Had to make some Easter Cards for a lady at the Retirement Home. So I made these for her to pick from.

Easter - One Cute Chick

I pulled out my stack of papers and found several journal card sheets. This was a journal card with more white above the chicks. I cut it off then turned it over to find the awesome orange and used it as the top of bottom. Worked perfectly for Sketch #5 of the March 2019 Card Sketch Challenge. It also fits the Spring theme of the March Inspirational Card challenge.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill (African Daisy, Sour apple)
Patterned Paper: Echo Park (Celebrate Easter – 4 x 6 journaling cards)
Accents/Tools: scor-tape, Gingham ribbon, glue dots

Easter - Bunny has Chocolate

I made several cards up for a lady that wanted Easter cards. I used my supplies on hand and used up some journaling cards. Which worked out perfectly as that was the Product Category at the Inspirational Card Challenge on Scrapbook.com. I couldn’t use the big journaling card the way it was because the message didn’t fit. So I pulled out my handy dandy Cricut and made a new bracket shape and printed the saying on there. I cut out the rabbit from another journaling card as I thought he was perfect for this.

SUPPLIES:
Cardstock: Bazzill (Petunia, African Daisy, Kachina)
Journaling Cards: Echo Park (Celebrate Easter Collection 3 x 4 and 4 x 6)
Accents/Tools: Cricut, Elegant Edges Cricut Cartridge, EK Success 1/16 pop dots, Cutter Bee scissors

Easter - Easter Egg

Another Easter Card using up Journaling Cards which was the Product for the March 2019 Inspirational Card Challenge on Scrapbook.com. I cut out the center of the big journaling card and used it for another card. I then cut the egg out of the smaller journaling card and pop dotted it in the center of the frame.

SUPPLIES:
Cardstock: Bazzill (African Daisy, Kachina, Intense Orange)
Journaling Cards: Echo Park (Celebrate Easter Collection 3 x 4 and 4 x 6)
Accents/Tools: EK Success 1/16 pop dots, Cutter Bee scissors, Rectangle die,

Easter - Easter words

Another Easter Card using up Journaling Cards which was the Product for the March 2019 Inspirational Card Challenge on Scrapbook.com. I cut out the eggs from the large journaling card and then used a small journaling card that had all the Easter words on it. I paired them with some bright paper that reminded me of what would be on Easter eggs!

Sketch: Stella Says Sketch #601

SUPPLIES:
Cardstock: Bazzill (African Daisy, Kachina, Intense Orange, Sour Apple)
Journaling Cards: Echo Park (Celebrate Easter Collection 3 x 4 and 4 x 6)
Patterned Paper: Echo Park (Celebrate Easter Oopsy Daisy)
Accents/Tools: EK Success 1/16 pop dots, Cutter Bee scissors,

Easter - Happy Easter

Another Easter Card using up Journaling Cards which was the Product for the March 2019 Inspirational Card Challenge on Scrapbook.com. I cut close around the design so I could mat it.

Sketch: Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #309

SUPPLIES:
Cardstock: Bazzill (African Daisy, Kachina, Petunia)
Journaling Cards: Echo Park (Celebrate Easter Collection 3 x 4)
Patterned Paper: Echo Park (Celebrate Easter – Jelly Beans)
Accents/Tools: rick rack ribbon, flower, jewel, Gina Marie Dies,

Easter - Hippty Hoppity

Last Easter Card!! This one is for March 2019 Inspirational Card Challenge – theme – Lawn and Garden. This journaling card has the bunny standing in a yard with a tree and flowers. I decided to use the inside of another journaling card I cut out and it covered up the tree which I was okay with. Once the banner was on there only one flower was showing so I cut out some flowers from some paper and pop dotted them. I added a cloud since I covered up some.

Sketch: turned on its side. MOJO Monday 475

Hope you have a wonderful blessed Easter!

An ornery Easter

Happy Easter Bunny

So I saw this image at Free Dearie Dolls Digi Stamps and he just made me smile in all his plaid and polka dot combination! So I wanted to use him but didn’t have anything in mind at the time. Well, a friend of mine, Dale, was in the hospital last month with heart issues. I wanted to make him a get well card but nothing came to mind. He is already home now so I thought maybe I will just make an Easter Card and I remembered this image. Then I made my girlfriend’s card (see post before this one) and took the saying I put on hers and changed it to fit Dale:

Hoping your Easter world
is bright and colorful,
weird and crazy,
ornery and special…

…just like you.

I decided it fit my brother too so I hit him a card also!

I used sketch #6 at the Cardmakers Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com (the original sketch is from i {heart} sketches #120).

CHALLENGES:

  1. Cardmakers Card Challenge #6 – use the sketch as inspiration
  2. March Inspirational Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com – Photo inspiration category #1

Cardstock: Bazzill (Parakeet, Starmist, Snap Dragon, Mango, Lemonade)

Inside:

Hoping your Easter world
is bright and beautiful,
warm and wonderful,
sweet and special…

…just like you.

So I found Gerda Steiner Designs while looking for examples of pig stamps out there since that was the theme I chose for the March Inspirational Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com. She has clear, rubber and digital stamps so something for everyone. While looking around on her site I found the monthly challenge… which I love monthly challenges. A digi stamp is posted each month and you have to make a project using it. Then you will get next months stamp FREE!! So I decided to “hop” in this month (pun intended) and purchase this cute rabbit so I could play along. I thought he would make a cute Easter card and he did. I sent it to my best friend in Kansas City as I’m still trying to send her a card a month.

The images only come in outline so I had to bat my eyelashes at my husband and ask really nice to color this up for me in Photoshop. He did and somehow always knows what colors to use. I just happen to have the perfect doodlebug paper from YEARS ago that matched it.

I used sketch #2 that was posted on the March Card Sketch Challenge (Kathy101) @ Scrapbook.com. It doesn’t say where the original sketch came from. I didn’t follow it exact but you can see the sketch…that’s what I love about sketches…they start your creativity but you aren’t bound to stick to the exact sketch.

CHALLENGES:

  1. Gerda Steiner Designs Monthly Challenge – March – Use the digital image to make a project and next month’s image will be free!
  2. March Card Sketch Challenge @ Scrapbook.com – I used sketch #2.
  3. March Inspirational Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com – Photo Inspiration #1 Category.

Happy Easter, Happy Spring! Happy Happy Everything!

So Easter threw me for a loop being a week after St. Patrick’s Day. So today I had to make several cards as I knew a couple ladies at the retirement apartment wanted to buy some. With trying to use up my supplies I decided the bunnies on the 10-12 year old patterned paper would look cute peeping out of boxes. So with a little fussy cutting…I got a  cute card out of old patterned paper! I also used up pieces of cardstock before cutting new sheets so that is why different colors are used in different places on the two cards. I made 4 all together and will probably make more!

CHALLENGES:
1) March Inspirational Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com – Inspirational Photo #1 category.
2) March Card Sketch Challenge (Kathy101) – sketch #4 which was originally a Pagemaps sketch.
3) Clear it Out Challenge March 8th – Theme: anything goes. Stash: patterned paper over a year old. Mine is 10-12 years at least!!

SUPPLIES:
Bunnies: cut from patterned paper – Treehouse-Designs (Q191 Easter Bunnies)
Cardstock: Bazzill (blue bell, Pollen, Petunia, Snap Dragon, White)
Accents/ Tools: Darice Embossing Folder (Wire Fence), Cuttlebug Embossing folder, twine, 1/16 EK Success Pop Dots

Valentine’s for a Secret Pal/Secret Sister

Inside: Happy Valentine’s Day!   Guess who?

When I saw this adorable image was the January Digi of the Month at Deedee’s Digis I was so happy I played last month….because that meant I got it free! I thought this would make a cute Valentine card for a secret pal/secret sister.  Which I have a standing order with one of the ladies at the retirement home to make a secret pal card for each holiday so I’m always on the lookout for good images that can be used! I wanted it to have a Valentine feel without it being too lovey.  I used the color version then used the outline version to paper piece the blue part of the hat and sweater. I wanted the cream color to be the main color instead of white so I cut the snow out and only left a little on the mailbox. And with all the cold weather and snow we are having lately we just might have snow covered mailboxes for Valentine’s Day! I used i {heart} card sketches #51 as my inspiration (I love her sketches!). I think her secret pal is a female but I think with these colors it could go either to a female or male.

And you know you have way too much cardstock when the patterned paper states it matches 4 Bazzill Cardstocks and I had everyone of them!! I actually think that is being well prepared!

CHALLENGES:

1) Deedee’s Digis January Digi of the Month Challenge – Use the image provided and get next month image FREE!

2) Crafty Creations Challenge #255 – Seasonal (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter) – I went with winter with the snow on mailbox, sweater and stocking cap!

3) Jan Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com – Theme – Love

4) Penny’s Paper-Crafty Challenge #162 – Spots and Dots. I hope mine counts as I think Spots and Dots are the same thing.

5) i {heart} card sketches #51 –  use the sketch as inspiration.

It is the 15th of the month so you know what that means….New Digital Stamps from Clearly Digi Stamps (Clear Dollar Stamps).

CDSLWFrogSamplePic

So I took this stamp in a whole different direction! (I know…what is new, right?) Well, usually I only do that if there is some already showing it being used the way it was designed. I got it in my head that this stamp was a clear stamp made into digital and that it had already been used. So I took it and went with a Valentine theme. After my card was done I got to looking to only find out that this is a BRAND NEW IMAGE!! So I promise to use it as a F.R.O.G. image and put a sample out soon. But if you want to see how stamps can be used in so many different ways here is the frog as a Valentine/Love card using Frog Digital Stamp.

Frog Valentine

I used the Try Stampin’ on Tuesday #104 Sketch as my inspiration.
