So when I did the Easter Train card I decided to not use the cart with the paint brushes and used the jelly bean one instead. Inside: It’s time to rest and take it easy.

This is for the owner of From the Heart Stamps. On Aug 11th we were notified by her team that Faith (owner) was in the hospital and to pray for her if we could. Aug 13th her dad updated us to let us know they found a brain tumor just bigger than a golf ball size and they were going to operate. She is now at home recovering from the surgery and starting treatments for cancer. This woman is amazing and even though I have never met her she has touched my life with her sweet spirit, kind heart and love for God. Her dad was so kind to give us an address we could send happy mail of encouragement to. So I went looking through her images that I own (because her store is temporarily on hold) and came across this one. She does not sell pre-colored digis but she had a special one time so I got the pre-colored one of this!! When I saw it I came up with the sentiment. I also used a sketch from their challenge blog – I {heart} sketches #69. I was having a hard time trying to find a ribbon to go across like what was in the sketch. So I pulled out my box of odds and ends ribbons and old old fibers (remember those!!). I found this perfect colored fiber trim that was just perfect…I love those happy finds!!

Hoppy Easter

When I was trying to come up with a card to make at the retirement home I started with these two. The bottom one I just couldn’t get…I think this is the 5th version of it and I finally like it!  The Easter Bonnet chick I think will say “Happy Easter to my favorite chick”. I really liked it a couple nights ago when I made it but now not so sure. So who knows there might be another version soon!

I was sweating it!

Today is the last day to make a project with the February Stamp of the Month at From the Heart Stamps (FTHS) and I just got it done! This month hasn’t allowed for much crafting and now I’m sick with a cold. Some people can craft when they are sick…I’m not one of them. My creative juices are plugged up with sinus crap at the moment so I’m surprised I was able to get this done. I’m happy with it for now we will see when I feel better if I still like it! I made it with one of my Best Friends in mind that has a birthday in April. Her favorite color combo is yellow and dark blue so that is what I used.

Don't Sweat it

Inside Card: … you still look like a Spring Chick!

This stamp, Birthday Candle Birdbrain, comes with a ton of sentiments! I was having a hard time people which one to use! I colored the bird in photoshop (have a hard time with yellow when I do watercolors) the rest I did with Tombow markers.

I used Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #208 as my inspiration. Instead of the second block on the bottom I did a long skinny one to hold my sentiment. I also offset the image from the blue mat.

CHALLENGES:

1) February Stamp of the Month Challenge @ From the Heart Stamps – Use the image provided and get next months Monthly image free!

2) Simply Create Too Challenge #56 – Shop in your Stash! I so need this challenge….about a 100 times! Everything is from my scrap drawer too! I even had the yellow embossed piece in there! Nothing new on this card!

3) Seize the Birthday – Anything Goes. No topping this week just make a birthday card!

4) March Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com – Product Category – Fiber/Thread (no ribbon)…I’m hoping floss is okay!

5) Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #208 – Use the sketch provided as your inspiration.

SUPPLIES:

Digital Image: Birthday Candle Birdbrain @ From the Heart Stamps
