Beccy's Place Digital Images, encouragement
animal, bear, Beccy's Place, children, Digis, digital images, digital stamps, encouragement, funny, humorous, parent, parenting

So a friend of mine has been having some trying times since her 3rd child came along. During the holidays if it could go wrong it did. She was laid on my heart so I decided to send her a card of encouragement because parenthood can be trying! I found this saying on the internet and thought it was hilarious and so her!!
At the end of the day…
Have any of your Children been eaten by a bear?
No.
See, you’re a good mom.
So I went looking for bear images. I found “Happy Stanley” at Beccy’s Place. His expression was perfect but he had a shirt collar and tie on so I asked Beccy for permission to have my husband remove the shirt and tie. She gave us permission and my wonderful husband made Stanley plain!! The grin is perfect for the saying and just makes me smile each time I see it!!
It took a week to get there…I couldn’t believe it! She received it Friday and said it was perfect timing as she was needing encouragement that day!! God is always perfect in his timing!
I used Atlantic Hearts Sketch #196 that I had saved so this card fits the March Card Inspiration Challenge – Favorites Category. It also fits Beccy’s Place March Challenge – make a card using any image of hers (even free ones) for a chance to win free digital stamps.
SUPPLIES:
Digital Image: Happy Stanley @ Beccy’s Place
Cardstock: Bazzill
Patterned Paper: My Mind’s Eye (Follow your Heart “Be Amazing”)

One of the guys at work learned (the hard way on his wife’s 1st Mother’s Day after they adopted their baby girl) that he is suppose to get a card for his wife from their daughter. Mother's Day
bingo card, center step fold, children, happy mother's day, kids, mom, mother, mother's day card, paper pieced

So every year I make one of my bosses a Valentine and Mother’s Day card for his wife. He likes his kids to be represented on the Mother’s Day card in some way. This year I decided to go back to having actual kids on the card like I did a couple years ago. His kids are actually growing up (Emily (24), Megan (19), Adam (15), Michael (13)) so I had to find “older” looking kids. In my search I found an awesome digi site Melonheadz. I did some creative cutting with using heads from one kid and placing it on another body. I then paper pieced the clothes on top.
The design of this card happened on accident! Got to love happy accidents. I was trying to figure out how I was going to fit four kids on a card with out making it super huge. Then I remembered that the Technique category in the April Inspirational Card Challenge is to do a technique you have been meaning to try. Well I have been wanting to do a Center Step Card so I decided that could work for 4 kids. Then I went to look for paper in my scrap drawers I thought this paper might work with all the different colors. I happened to have some of the Bingo Card scraps and that is how the card came together.
CHALLENGES:
1) April Inspirational Card Challenge – Technique Category – try a technique you have been wanting to try. I did the Center Step Card.
2) Melonheadz Friends – Pastel Colors Challenge or if you use a Melonheadz image the theme can be Anything Goes. I used the Kidlettes Brown Hair combo pack.
SUPPLIES:
Digital Image: Kidlettes Brown Haired Combo Pack @ Melonheadz
Cardstock: Bazzill (Berry Sensation)
Patterned Paper: Simple Stories (FabUlous Collection)
Inks: pre-colored digital images printed on Canon Inkjet Printer
Accents/Tools: Xyron X, Ek Success 1/16 pop dots
