Annie’s Cardmaker Kit of the Month Club – July 2021 – Hello Sunshine

I had an order for a Get Well card for an elderly lady that fell and broke her hip. Also wanted to have some on hand.
My husband found this Card Kit of the Month and bought it for me for Mother’s Day. So far the 3 months I have had it I like it! They send instructions to make cards with the supplies but I don’t normally make their cards….I use the supplies to make my own. I used the left side of this scrapbook sketch as my inspiration. I saw a tall skinny card on the left side of the sketch. I ended up making a 3 3/4 x 7 1/4 card. Sketch used: https://www.scrapbook.com/gallery/image/sketch/6722927.html

Supplies:
Cardstock: American Crafts (Sky), Bazzill (Romance, Ivy)
Patterned Paper and die cuts: Annie’s Cardmaker Kit of the Month Club – Hello Sunshine visit: https://www.annieskitclubs.com/products/cardmaker-kit
Accents/Tools: Cuttlebug Embossing Folder (Swiss dots)

So this is another card I made with the Annie’s Cardmaker Kit of the Month Club – July 2021 supplies. I was inspired by last months sketch #2 of the August Card Sketch Challenge. The original sketch is a MOJO Monday Sketch #504. I turned one into a sympathy card and the other is going to a lady that lost her husband in late July to let her know I’m thinking and praying for her. So I will be linking it to the September Happy Mail Challenge. **I challenge everyone to mail out one “happy mail” card this month just to let someone know you are thinking of them!**

Here is another card made with the Card Kit my husband ordered for me. I used an old sketch saved in my sketch folder – Sketch-N-Scrap Sketch #135. I made this for friend (Francene) who has been in the hospital.

Things that fly

So the theme of the December Inspirational Card Challenge at Scrapbook.com was Things that Fly. Here are two cards I made.

Unicorn Magical Birthday

I had a request for a 7th birthday party with the theme of unicorns and rainbows. She sent me this card as an ideal of what she liked. The original card has rainbow lines behind the unicorn that reminded me of the paint splatter stamps that TexasMomOf4 always used so I had to buy some! So I finally got them out after having the stamps over a year! I found the unicorn digital stamp at Huckleberry Hearts. I used sketch #2 from November Card Sketch Challenge. Original sketch found at Taylored Expressions.

CHALLENGES:
1) December Inspirational Card Challenge @ scrapbook.com – Theme – things that fly. In a magical world I think unicorns fly!

SUPPLIES:
Digital Stamp: Rainbow Unicorn from Huckleberry Hearts
Cardstock: Bazzill (Berry Sensation, Yosemite, African Daisy, Pansy)
Accents/Tools: Doodlebug Sprinkles (rainbow hearts), Queen and Co rhinestones, Cuttlebug dots embossing folder, EK Success 1/16 pop dots, Your Next Stamp (paint swooshes and splatters)

Butterfly - remake.JPG

I made a card like this out of different doodlebug paper to send to a couple friends. Never got them sent 😦 I thought I had posted the Friend card but couldn’t find it in my files. Well several ladies at my card sell requested it as a Birthday Card instead of a friend card. So this is the Birthday Version.

CHALLENGES:
1) December Inspirational Card Challenge -theme – things that fly.

SUPPLIES:
Cardstock: Bazzill (bubblegum, rain)
Patterned Paper: Doodlebug Sugar Shoppe
Accents/Tools: Memory Box Co (Marielle butterflies, Cascadia Butterfly trio, rhinestones, xyron x, scor-tape

Happy Birthday Balloons

Happy Birthday Balloons v1

A lady sent me a photo of a card she liked and said she wanted something like that for her ex-DIL. Most of you know I’m not good at or do a lot of watercolors or distress inks (I did buy 3 but haven’t opened them!) So I went through my stash and found this cool prism looking paper that I got at an estate sell this year. I don’t have stamps so I did the sentiment on the computer. I wasn’t sure about the cords covering the words so I made a version 2. Also my balloons are smaller than the original but I think it worked out okay.

SUPPLIES:
Cardstock: Bazzill (Blue Oasis, Berry Sensation, White)
Patterned Paper: DCWV (Prism Play)
Accents/Tools: Braiding cord, Glue Dots, EK Success 1/16 pop dots, computer, Paper Smooches Dies (Balloons)

Happy Birthday Balloons v2

So I made a V2 with an embossed happy birthday paper so the strings wouldn’t be lying on the “wording” like in the first V1. I also grouped the strings together.
So I sent her both versions and she said  the loose balloon strings might drive her ex-DIL  crazy!!! Hehehehe. So a made a V3 just to make sure she got what she wanted.

SUPPLIES:
Cardstock: Bazzill (Blue Oasis, Berry Sensation, White)
Patterned Paper: DCWV (Prism Play)
Accents/Tools: Braiding cord, Glue Dots, EK Success 1/16 pop dots, computer, Paper Smooches Dies (Balloons), Cuttlebug Embossing Folder (Happy Birthday)

Happy Birthday Balloons v3

So for V3 I went back to the original with the big Happy birthday (printed) on there. Instead of loose strings I tied them together. So I sent her all three so she could decide. She still picked #2!

Which version do you like?
