Gift Card Holder

GiftCardHolder

Knowing I would need some gift card holders this season I made the technique challenge on the Oct Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com just that!! Two ladies have made cool gift card holders and I lifted Cpowife as she made one similar to this. I hope to make Karen’s version today or tomorrow if all goes as planned. Cpowife got the ideal from Dawn’s Stamping Thoughts. But just as Cpowife did, I also changed the dimensions. I didn’t even watch the video so I don’t know if I did it right or not! But it’s made and I like it! I made these with a masculine theme in mind because I will need one for my Father-in-law and I think he will like this!

Doodle Pantry Rocks Fathers Day Cards

This year Doodle Pantry seemed to have the images that were being requested for Father’s Day. So I have made several Father’s Day Cards with Doodle Pantry Images…Thanks Laurie for having such awesome images!

Crazy Uncle

Crazy Uncle Inside

OMG!! I love love how this came out! This is one of my favorite cards I have made.

A friend at work has a son on the school fishing team. Her husband and another man help the coach. The boys call them the crazy uncles so she wanted a card for them. I showed her the awesome images from Doodle Pantry and she asked that the fish be on the outside and the reel on the inside. She wanted “crazy uncle” on the card. So I called up my bestest friend who rocks sentiments and told her what was requested. She came up with this saying….she so needs to apply for Hallmark!!

The sketch came from Tuesday Morning Sketches #253….I just flipped it so it looks like the fish is jumping for a hook (my friends ideal!). My husband wanted the bobber to look real with the two colors instead of a solid color…I just made it orange instead of red! So glad he requested it cause I love it! The bubbles came because I was going to do a punched border instead of the orange strips but didn’t like it. I had all these circles laying around and love the look it gave it! I cut out a 2nd fish and popped it up so it really looks like it is jumping out of the water.

Deck the Halls

Quick and Easy but OH SO CUTE Christmas cards!

A little while ago I did one similar in gold but it was a little more fancy then theses. We made these for card class and they were a hit. They said they had a WOW punch to them but were so easy.

Reindeer -blue

Reindeer -Purple

See what I mean! Totally clean and simple design! The reindeer come in those colors (and gold) so all I did was print them out and cut around them (leaving a little white edge). Put some pop-dots on them and there you have Christmas cards that you could mail out in the next couple days!  Oh and if want even easier then that Doodle Pantry even has Holiday Deer Quick Cards using this image….check it out!

1) Cute Card Thursday Challenge #299 – Christmas Catch up!

Sweet and simple Merry Deer

Merry Deer

I have been wanting to use this image for a very long time but my coloring skills are not that great. So I was super excited when she re-released (was a Clearly Digital Stamp) Merry Deer in a Color version! I only had time to make the gold version of this card but I hope to try this layout with the purple and teal versions also included in the digital stamp.

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring Fab ‘n’ Funky Challenge #194 – Anything Goes. Fab ‘n’ Funky is celebrating their 4th birthday so come over and play along!! Lots of prizes by different sponsors being offered.  Since the challenge was anything goes I looked at other current challenges out there to see what could inspire my card. I am not a CAS (clean and simple) kind of girl but I was intrigued by the recipe challenge at 52 {Christmas} Card Challenge which is a recipe. Now I didn’t end up following it because I just had to have more than one layer and I liked pearls better than sparkle but I kept it in mind when I started figuring out my card. Since I was trying to do the recipe I found a CAS sketch that I thought would work so I used CAS(E) this Sketch #54 as my inspiration.

CTS_Sketch_54

I then used the other challenges below to inspire my card.

Don’t forget Doodle Pantry is still doing a fundraiser for Operation Write Home!! You still have until the end of November to grab the bundle of stamps for $5.00, we’ve already raised $339.00! Let’s make $400….we can do it!!!
