So I needed a card for my co-workers wife and my niece. They both like cats so I went looking in my images and found this digital stamp (also comes in a clear stamp) from Gerda Steiner (Cat Holding Sign). My co-worker got deployed at the end of Dec and his wife turned 30 this month. I know it has to be hard without her husband so I’m going to send the card with a small gift certificate to get some local Andy’s Custard! On my niece’s card I will place her name on the sign instead of the age. Found the patterned paper in a workout paper pad from Michael’s (Craft Smith)….trying to use up some stuff on hand.
I used sketch #3 from the Jan Card Sketch Challenge on Scrapbook.com. The original sketch can be found Here At MojoMonday.
SUPPLIES: Cardstock: Bazzill (Whirlpool, lily pond, Kachina, velvet) Patterned Paper: Michael’s Paper Pad/Craft Smith (Working on my Fitness) Metal Dies: Avery Ellie (Pro Banner), Sizzix (dotted Circles), Accents/Tools: EK Success 1/16 pop dots, Queen & Co Epoxy white dots, Inks/Pens: Stampin’ Up Digital Stamp: Cat Holding Signat Gerda Steiner (also comes in clear stamp called All Cats)
I needed a sympathy card for a lady at work. I just used some stickers from this package so I thought that the bird would make a good sympathy card. So I looked through my sketches and liked the sketch picked for the Feb Inspirational Card Challenge @ scrapbook.com. I went through all my scraps and just couldn’t find anything that worked so I would to my closet full of paper racks. I pulled out my brand new DCWV Violet Leaf paper pack and it had paper with gold foil on it!! It was perfect…thank you Flutterbye0419 for telling me I NEEDED this paper pack last month!! And this is what came together when I combined my supplies and sketch! I was pretty pleased with it…different then what I normally do but I like it!
