Water You up to

When I saw this image and saying last month I knew it would be perfect to send to my friend this summer. I have kept up pretty good sending her a card a month…been late a few months…but still going strong. So I figured this would be perfect for July or August and it’s just so cute with that saying! It fit in perfectly for the “Beach” challenge at Outlawz CAS Challenge. Now CAS is not my choice of style for card making but I do like how this one came out.

I bought this embossing folder a couple months ago knowing it would come in handy…just looks like water or space ship to me! So I was so excited when I looked in my embossing folders and saw it! It’s perfect…at least I think so. I also used an EK Success border punch that also reminding me of bubbles in water. Paired that with a Clean & Simple Stamping Sketch from 01/14/2011 and this was the result.

CHALLENGES:

1) July Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com – Favorites – lift a card or sketch that is in your favorites

Baby Boy

Here is my last card as the Guest DT member for Deedee’s Digis! What a month it has been! I have so enjoyed working with the stamps but more importantly I have gained a closer relationship to my friend, Deedee. I have enjoyed talking to her about events in her life and mine….I just got promoted at my job!! In all of this God has led me to use my organizational skills to help Deedee with her business by becoming the Sponsorship Coordinator for Deedee’s Digis!  So I get to stay on her team!! It is hard running a business and family all by yourself…so I see it as a win/win for both of us.  I won’t be creating on a regular schedule but you know I will be using these adorable images any chance I get.  Hopefully you will come play with us in some of the challenges Deedee’s Digis sponsors and you will have a chance of winning a $10.00 gift code to the store!! Check out the side bar on Deedee’s blog for upcoming challenges.

A current challenge Deedee’s Digis is sponsoring is Sketch Saturday Challenge #328. You have until Friday to enter the challenge so come over and play with us!! She is also sponsoring Incy Wincy Designs Challenge – ANYTHING GOES!! Do what I did and make one card and enter it in both challenges to double your chance at winning a Gift Code to Deedee’s Digis!

CHALLENGES:

1) Come and Get It Challenge – Use 3 of something. I have 3 stars, 3 pieces of polka dot paper.

2) Crafts 4 Eternity Challenge #194 – My Style. This week we would like you to share projects which show your signature style of crafting. My style is simple with lots of layers. I’m pretty linear in design with not a lot of fluff.

3) Incy Wincy Desigens Challenge – Anything Goes

4) Sketch Saturday Challenge #328 – Use the sketch provided as inspiration

A ducky kind of Christmas

Deedee at Deedee’s Digis has started a new progressive challenge. If you play with the current Stamp of the Month then you will get next months free!! I love Deedee’s work (she use to be at Clearly Digi Stamps) so I had to play this month with Daniel’s Tree – Featured Stamp of the Month.

Happy Holidays - duck

Tell me that digital image is just not ADORABLE!! Anyone recognize or even remember this Christmas Paper from Crate Paper?!! It was one of their first few lines. This whole card was made with scraps besides the red base. I still have the diagonal patterned paper and the rub-ons in this collection. I used some of the rub-ons for Happy Holidays.  I was inspired by sketch #154 on 2 Sister Challenge Blog but it ended up taking on a life of its own which turned out to be a very simple card. But I’m okay with that because it makes the image the focus of the card.

CHALLENGES:

1) Crafts 4 Eternity Challenge #152– Non-Traditional Christmas. This week we would like you to share projects with a Non traditional Christmas theme, colour, image or the project itself!  Well, to me the patterned paper is non-traditional as yellow is not typically a Christmas Color. Also the duck for a Christmas image is non-traditional.

2) Totally Paper Crafts Challenge #195 – Ho Ho Holidays

SUPPLIES:

Digital Image: Daniel’s Tree @ Deedee’s Digis

Cardstock: Bazzill

Patterned Paper: Crate Paper

Inks: pre-colored digital image printed on Canon Ink-jet Printer

Accents/Tools: Xyron X, black pen
