Halloween, Miss Kate Cuttables
cauldron, food, funny, funny Halloween, halloween, happy halloween, Miss Kate Cuttables, witch

Inside: It’s All Organic!!!
As I was searching for sayings and inspiration on Halloween I came across this saying and cracked up. This is sooo my best friend!! She is into oils, home remedies, etc. (and I am sooo NOT) so I knew I had to send this to her!!! She isn’t into Halloween but I think it will make her laugh. I love Halloween….what is better than acting like a kid, being silly, dressing up and eating candy!! I don’t do the dark Halloween….I like the fun cutesy side of Halloween. That’s why I kept this card fun, bright, cutesy Halloween even though there is a cauldron. And she will be shocked there is a bow as I don’t do many bows. But when I saw this sketch with the little tag I knew it was perfect (I was struggling with how to put that saying on the front and this sketch made it so easy!) I used a die cut from Miss Kate Cuttables (I took out one of the green layers and bubbles). I used MOJO Monday Sketch #468 for my inspiration.

My hair dresser/friend had a stroke in March and is recovering. They think it was caused by some meds and migraine meds but not totally sure. She is doing amazingly well and was allowed to come back to work last month. To encourage her on days that she can’t do as much as she wants to I sent her this card. I reminded her that her body is healing on the inside and even though she looks healed on the outside her brain is still healing. I wrote this verse inside:
“And my God will meet all your needs
according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”
– Phillippians 4:19
Her husband told me she liked pink and Dr. Pepper so that is what I went with. Used old supplies and scraps I had in my scrap drawers!

birthday, birthday card, boss, clover, dearie dolls, Diane Daydream Designs, Digis, digital image, digital stamp, drink, embossing, embossing folder, flowers, food, happy birthday, Happy St. Patrick's Day, roses, sticker, tea, tea quote

So my nurse friend ordered this card for her boss that has a birthday this week. Her boss loves tea so she asked me to do a tea themed card. I sent her several images and sayings and this is what she picked. The original pre-colored image has blond hair. She wanted the lady to have dark hair because she looks like her boss. So I once again batted my eyelashes and asked hubby to color in the lady and give her dark brown hair. Well he colored the whole image without even seeing the original and got so darn close to original colors. I then took the image and saying she picked and put them together to make this card. She loved it! The image, Tea Time, is a free one at Free Dearie Dolls Digi Stamps
I apparently like this sketch found on Stickersnfun.com as I used it on two cards this month (see below for 2nd card)!

Here is the 2nd card I made this month with the sketch from stickersnfun.com.

Easter Cards, Gerda Steiner Designs
bunny, carrot, Digis, digital image, digital stamp, easter, food, friend, Gerda Steiner Designs, Happy Easter, rabbit, Stamp of the month

Inside:
Hoping your Easter world
is bright and beautiful,
warm and wonderful,
sweet and special…
…just like you.
So I found Gerda Steiner Designs while looking for examples of pig stamps out there since that was the theme I chose for the March Inspirational Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com. She has clear, rubber and digital stamps so something for everyone. While looking around on her site I found the monthly challenge… which I love monthly challenges. A digi stamp is posted each month and you have to make a project using it. Then you will get next months stamp FREE!! So I decided to “hop” in this month (pun intended) and purchase this cute rabbit so I could play along. I thought he would make a cute Easter card and he did. I sent it to my best friend in Kansas City as I’m still trying to send her a card a month.
The images only come in outline so I had to bat my eyelashes at my husband and ask really nice to color this up for me in Photoshop. He did and somehow always knows what colors to use. I just happen to have the perfect doodlebug paper from YEARS ago that matched it.
I used sketch #2 that was posted on the March Card Sketch Challenge (Kathy101) @ Scrapbook.com. It doesn’t say where the original sketch came from. I didn’t follow it exact but you can see the sketch…that’s what I love about sketches…they start your creativity but you aren’t bound to stick to the exact sketch.
CHALLENGES:
- Gerda Steiner Designs Monthly Challenge – March – Use the digital image to make a project and next month’s image will be free!
- March Card Sketch Challenge @ Scrapbook.com – I used sketch #2.
