From the Heart Stamps
balloons, birthday, birthday card, digital image, digital stamps, fence, From the Heart Stamps, happy birthday, Joy Crafts, Paper Smooches, Photoshop, PigWit, twine

I wanted to play “Stamp of the Month” at From the Heart Stamps since it is the first month Faith is back after having brain cancer. This cute piglet comes holding chocolate kisses or nothing so I decided to use the one where he is holding nothing. I was actually going to have him hold balloons but when I looked at sketch at I [heart} Sketches #163 my mind start stirring with ideals. I was struggling with that sketch of how to put an image on there with all the banners. Well, I flipped the sketch upside down and thought of balloons tied to the fence to take the place of the banners and top ribbon piece. Then I stuck the clouds going diagonal under the balloons instead of on top. In trying to figure out what colors to use I decided to use the color challenge at the February Inspirational Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com (the only color added as a neutral is the green…hope Karen will allow that!)

SUPPLIES:
Digital Image: Hogs and Kisses PigWit @ From the Heart Stamps
Cardstock: Bazzill (Sunbeam, white, Parakeet, Romance) The Paper Studio (bright pink, gray), (coral and dark gray old Bazzill paper no longer made)
Inks: PigWit colored in Photoshop by my husband. Tie was paper pieced with gray cardstock.
Accents/Tools: American Crafts twine, Martha Stewart fence border punch, Joy Crafts (cloud die cuts), Paper Smooches (balloon dies), EK Success 1/16 pop dots, Xyron X

From the Heart Stamps, Thank you
angel, Angel Caroline, digital image, digital stamp, From the Heart Digital Stamps, From the Heart Stamps, glitter glue, sparkle, stickles, thank you

One of my friends requested this card. She follows Cards for Cops Facebook page and saw that they were requesting Thank You cards to be sent to the lady in Baton Rouge that helped the police officer that was in a fight for his life. You can read about it here: http://www.theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/news/crime_police/article_7e51e442-f7a1-11e6-a824-0f1df04e51e0.html
So I remembered this sweet angel, Angel Caroline, done by Faith a long time ago (before she renamed the store to From the Heart Stamps). I colored her up with my minimal Photoshop skills and put stickles on her wings. Probably shouldn’t have covered the smaller parts and it just bleed over the black but I still think it looks okay. I used Atlantic Hearts Sketch #198 for my inspiration. I used the colors from the I {heart} Sketch challenge #163.
CHALLENGES:
1. Feb Inspirational Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com – Favorites category
SUPPLIES:
Digital Image: Angel Caroline from Faith @ From the Heart Stamps (it was from her first store Design2Delight)

Birthday, Friends, From the Heart Stamps
Birdbrain wine, birthday, Digis, digital images, embossing folder, friend, friendship, From the Heart Stamps, happy birthday, MOJObella25, wine, wine bottle, wine glass

I had an order for a birthday card for a lady that is in her 70’s with the following inside: “Wine improves with age —
We like it more the older we get!”
This is what I came up with!
I sent a photo this morning and she loved it!
I used MOJObella sketch #25 as my inspiration.
CHALLENGES:
1) Jan Inspirational Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com – Favorites Category – Recreate a card or sketch you’ve saved in your favorites either on this site, a blog, or Pinterest. I used the MOJObella skektch #25.
SUPPLIES:
Digital Image: Birdbrain Wine @ From the Heart Stamps (I cut the bird off so I could just have the wine bottle and glass)
Cardstock: Bazzill (bazzill green, french vanilla), American Crafts (Blossom)
Inks: my husband colored the digital image in photoshop then it was printed on a Canon Inkjet printer)
Accents/Tools: cutter bee scissors, EK Success 1/16 pop dots, Cuttlebug embossing folders (dots, happy birthday), Cricut, Elegant Edges Cricut Cartridge

So I realized in looking through my cards I made this at the beginning of 2016 and forgot to post it. This was for a lady that liked a tea/coffee card I did with the same sentiment but wanted it to say wine. I used the same image, Birdbrain wine, by From the Heart Stamps and just left the bird off.
I can’t remember what sketch I used but if I find it I will update my post.
SUPPLIES:
Digital Image: Birdbrain Wine @ From the Heart Stamps
Inks: Husband colored the image in Photoshop then it was printed on a Canon Inkjet Printer.

encouragement, From the Heart Stamps, Get Well
bird, birdbrain, chick, chicken, circles, Digis, digital image, digital stamp, encouragement, fiber, From the Heart Digital Stamps, From the Heart Stamps, get well, glasses, humorous, I heart sketches #69

Inside: It’s time to rest and take it easy.
This is for the owner of From the Heart Stamps. On Aug 11th we were notified by her team that Faith (owner) was in the hospital and to pray for her if we could. Aug 13th her dad updated us to let us know they found a brain tumor just bigger than a golf ball size and they were going to operate. She is now at home recovering from the surgery and starting treatments for cancer. This woman is amazing and even though I have never met her she has touched my life with her sweet spirit, kind heart and love for God. Her dad was so kind to give us an address we could send happy mail of encouragement to. So I went looking through her images that I own (because her store is temporarily on hold) and came across this one. She does not sell pre-colored digis but she had a special one time so I got the pre-colored one of this!! When I saw it I came up with the sentiment. I also used a sketch from their challenge blog – I {heart} sketches #69. I was having a hard time trying to find a ribbon to go across like what was in the sketch. So I pulled out my box of odds and ends ribbons and old old fibers (remember those!!). I found this perfect colored fiber trim that was just perfect…I love those happy finds!!

Fall / Autumn, From the Heart Stamps, Thanksgiving
Digis, digital image, digital stamp, fall, feminine, From the Heart Stamps, girl, pumpkins, secret pal, thanksgiving

I didn’t get to use this image last month during the Digi of the Month Challenge at From the Heart Stamps because I just ran out of time. I used I [heart} card sketches #123 at From the Heart Stamps as my inspiration. The paper had some green dots so I decided to use jewels to cover them up.
I have a lady at the retirement home that has a secret pal so she has a standing order for each holiday. So this will be the Thanksgiving card.
Inside: Wishing you the blessings of the Season. Happy Thanksgiving.

Birthday
bird, birthday, button, candle, chick, dry embossing, embossed, floss, friend, From the Heart Stamps, FTHS, funny, Tombow, water color
Today is the last day to make a project with the February Stamp of the Month at From the Heart Stamps (FTHS) and I just got it done! This month hasn’t allowed for much crafting and now I’m sick with a cold. Some people can craft when they are sick…I’m not one of them. My creative juices are plugged up with sinus crap at the moment so I’m surprised I was able to get this done. I’m happy with it for now we will see when I feel better if I still like it! I made it with one of my Best Friends in mind that has a birthday in April. Her favorite color combo is yellow and dark blue so that is what I used.

Inside Card: … you still look like a Spring Chick!
This stamp, Birthday Candle Birdbrain, comes with a ton of sentiments! I was having a hard time people which one to use! I colored the bird in photoshop (have a hard time with yellow when I do watercolors) the rest I did with Tombow markers.
I used Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #208 as my inspiration. Instead of the second block on the bottom I did a long skinny one to hold my sentiment. I also offset the image from the blue mat.
CHALLENGES:
1) February Stamp of the Month Challenge @ From the Heart Stamps – Use the image provided and get next months Monthly image free!
2) Simply Create Too Challenge #56 – Shop in your Stash! I so need this challenge….about a 100 times! Everything is from my scrap drawer too! I even had the yellow embossed piece in there! Nothing new on this card!
3) Seize the Birthday – Anything Goes. No topping this week just make a birthday card!
4) March Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com – Product Category – Fiber/Thread (no ribbon)…I’m hoping floss is okay!
5) Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #208 – Use the sketch provided as your inspiration.
6) Sentimental Sundays Challenge #195 – Make your own background paper
SUPPLIES:
Digital Image: Birthday Candle Birdbrain @ From the Heart Stamps
Cardstock: Bazzill
Inks/Markers: the bird was colored in photoshop, the rest I used Tombow markers (blue – 452, 565, 535) (yellow – 055)
Accents/Tools: button, floss, Cuttlebug Happy Birthday embossing folder
