This is a Bugaboo Digital Stamp called Escape Key. I got permission from Jodie (shop owner) to remove the original saying and replace it with this one. My husband is awesome and can Photoshop so he replaced the saying and digitally colored the image. I cut out the colored image matted it and stuck it on the card base. This fits into the Bonus Category of the Scrapbook.com October Inspirational Card Challenge – humor/sarcastic.

Trying to figure out why my post keeping getting messed up. So here is another attempt. Anyone else having trouble with wordpress in where it makes your images long and distorted?

So I swept the garage so the Easter Bunny could bring you a new tool!
While my husband was gone last week I decided to clean out the garage as a surprise for him. I wanted to make him a card to sit on his bench so he would get it when he walked into the garage. So I had ideals but when Karen posted the April Inspirational Card Challenge – bonus category – Clean… the cleaning images at Imagine That Digital Stamps came to mind. I told my girlfriend what my thoughts were for the saying and she put it together and made it sound good. He not only liked the garage but he said he also liked the card!
So while I was getting ideals I saw some funny house cleaning sayings so I decided to use the rest of my scraps and make some funny cards with this design. See attached cards.

So a friend of mine has been having some trying times since her 3rd child came along. During the holidays if it could go wrong it did. She was laid on my heart so I decided to send her a card of encouragement because parenthood can be trying! I found this saying on the internet and thought it was hilarious and so her!!
At the end of the day…
Have any of your Children been eaten by a bear?
No.
See, you’re a good mom.
So I went looking for bear images. I found “Happy Stanley” at Beccy’s Place. His expression was perfect but he had a shirt collar and tie on so I asked Beccy for permission to have my husband remove the shirt and tie. She gave us permission and my wonderful husband made Stanley plain!! The grin is perfect for the saying and just makes me smile each time I see it!!
It took a week to get there…I couldn’t believe it! She received it Friday and said it was perfect timing as she was needing encouragement that day!! God is always perfect in his timing!
I used Atlantic Hearts Sketch #196 that I had saved so this card fits the March Card Inspiration Challenge – Favorites Category. It also fits Beccy’s Place March Challenge – make a card using any image of hers (even free ones) for a chance to win free digital stamps.

This is the version I will send to family members.
As I was searching for sayings and inspiration on Halloween I came across this saying and cracked up. This is sooo my best friend!! She is into oils, home remedies, etc. (and I am sooo NOT) so I knew I had to send this to her!!! She isn’t into Halloween but I think it will make her laugh. I love Halloween….what is better than acting like a kid, being silly, dressing up and eating candy!! I don’t do the dark Halloween….I like the fun cutesy side of Halloween. That’s why I kept this card fun, bright, cutesy Halloween even though there is a cauldron. And she will be shocked there is a bow as I don’t do many bows. But when I saw this sketch with the little tag I knew it was perfect (I was struggling with how to put that saying on the front and this sketch made it so easy!) I used a die cut from Miss Kate Cuttables (I took out one of the green layers and bubbles). I used MOJO Monday Sketch #468 for my inspiration.

So I saw this image at Free Dearie Dolls Digi Stamps and he just made me smile in all his plaid and polka dot combination! So I wanted to use him but didn’t have anything in mind at the time. Well, a friend of mine, Dale, was in the hospital last month with heart issues. I wanted to make him a get well card but nothing came to mind. He is already home now so I thought maybe I will just make an Easter Card and I remembered this image. Then I made my girlfriend’s card (see post before this one) and took the saying I put on hers and changed it to fit Dale:
Hoping your Easter world
is bright and colorful,
weird and crazy,
ornery and special…
…just like you.
I decided it fit my brother too so I hit him a card also!
My friend and her family have a very playful and sarcastic relationship with each other. She was looking through my birthday cards and saw the one I did with this image:
She wanted a birthday card using this image and then she found this saying on the internet: “You’re only as old as you feel….Wow that must suck for you!”
And that is how this card came about. Oh, I also used the current sketch challenge #129 at I [heart} card sketches Challenge.
I tried paper piecing the image so I wouldn’t have to ask my husband to color the image in but it just would not cooperate. I tore the head off one bird and smudge black ink on another so gave up! I went to my husband with the saddest wife eyes possible and asked him to color up the bird…I had managed to do the ornaments all by myself! Of course there is no shading or fancy coloring but it is colored! I found the sketch on Sketch Saturday and thought it would be perfect.
I saw someone had used the sentiment “Define Good” and thought that would be perfect for my Brother’s card so I made one of each!
