Baby - Stitched.JPG

This is my 2nd card with sketch #1 from the August Card Sketch Challenge. I saw this sketch and thought it would be perfect for a friend of mine who just became a grandma for the first time. The colors on the card are the colors of the nursery. I wanted a fun happy card cause that is the type of grandma my friend will be. Now the card didn’t come out as cute as I pictured but she loved it so that is all that matters. And I finally used my Sew Easy that I have had forever!!

We R Memory Keepers Sew Easy – floss (blue, pink, purple)

21st Birthday

So one of my co-workers requested a 21st Birthday card for his daughter. He said an alcohol beverage was okay and to make it a fun birthday card. Well, I hope I did just that with the bright colors and design.  He said he liked it!

I used sketch #142 at Feeling Sketchy for my design. I found the bubbly drink sticker in my stash that matched perfectly with the Doodlebug glitter stickers I used for the “21”. I finally got to use the frame with bubbles from the Elegant Edges Cricut Cartridge!!!

Merry Christmas

I love my husband for many reasons and supporting my hobbies is one of them. Not only does he let me have several rooms to store my craft stuff but he will also color digital stamps in Photoshop for me! And when I tell him to just slap some paint on I get this masterpiece! He is amazing and I’m very thankful.

So here is my finished card just in time for the From the Heart Digi of the Month Challenge. You make a project using the digital image for that month and you get next month’s image FREE!!

Pulling presents through the snow!

Pulling Sleigh

So I was struggling with the sketches in the Sept Card Sketch Challenge as they were not coming to me. I’m not a CAS card person so I was struggling this month. While I was waking up Wednesday morning this ideal came to me for Sketch #2. Instead of a banner I ripped the paper and instead of the stars I put an image there. This card ended up being CAS and I love it. I used sparkle paper from Doodlebug to represent snow and shiny paper underneath to represent the compressed snow! Hope it makes sense as to the scene I was setting!

I used the outline and colored versions of this digital stamp. I wanted presents on the sleigh but the colored version had them in pink and black and that wasn’t working for my Christmas card. I used the outline version and colored the presents in Photoshop. The girl was beautiful dressed for Christmas in one of the pre-colored images so I just cut her out and glued her on top of the outline version!

CHALLENGES:
1) September Card Sketch Challenge @ Scrapbook.com – Sketch #2 – originally Seize the Sketch #11
2) Christmas Card Challenges #41 – Think Skinny. The path in the snow is skinny!
3) Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge – Choose R or E or D. You need to use something to that begins with the letter “R” or “E” or “D” or you could use more than 1
when you create your project. Examples could include:
R – Ribbon, Red, Rudoulph
E – Embossing
D – Diecut
I used Red
4) Merry Monday Christmas Challenge #125 – Transportation. Use some type of vehicle or transportation on your Christmas card. I used a sled.

SUPPLIES:
Digital Image: Snowbaby Love Color and Outline @ Diane’s Daydream Designs
Cardstock: Bazzill (Lava)
White glitter paper – Doodlebug
Inks: pre-colored digital image printed on Canon Inkjet Printer
Accents/Tools: pop dots, Cutter bee scissors
