Birthday Girl

Birthday Girl - no name.jpg

My friend needed a birthday card for her granddaughter’s 6th birthday. We looked through images and she liked this image from Free Dearie Dolls. The original image had different colored dress and hair on the girl. I emailed Mary Ellen and asked if she could put straight red hair on the girl and she did! Then I colored the dress and hat in Photoshop. The other part of the image was pre-colored by Mary Ellen. I used the sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch for my inspiration.

The granddaughter’s name was below the image (I whited out most of it)

My last Christmas Order wasn’t due until Jan 12th so I was able to work on them the beginning of the month.

Panda Christmas

I couldn’t find Christmas Panda images that fit in my cuteness category….I’m probably going to have to break down and buy some clear stamps! So I just saw some Panda stickers in my stash the other day so I thought I would look at them and see if I could make them into a Christmas Card. Well this card design just came to me so I went with it. I was pretty excited how it turned out!

Christmas Daughter - Margie
This was the card for the lady’s daughter. She wanted a card that told her what a wonderful daughter she was. When I bought the paper in Branson and it had all these cute photo cards she picked one for SIL (see previous card) and one for her daughter. I used Jan Card Sketch #1 as my inspiration. I just moved the paper over to the left because I wanted more of it to show and added epoxy dots instead of a sentiment.

This is my 2nd card with sketch #1 from the August Card Sketch Challenge. I saw this sketch and thought it would be perfect for a friend of mine who just became a grandma for the first time. The colors on the card are the colors of the nursery. I wanted a fun happy card cause that is the type of grandma my friend will be. Now the card didn’t come out as cute as I pictured but she loved it so that is all that matters. And I finally used my Sew Easy that I have had forever!!
