Another one of the guys at work gets a mother’s day card for his mom and her theme is rainbows. So I made two versions and then made it in other colors case other people liked the design.
He chose this full rainbow one for his mom!
Another customer chose the same full rainbow one for her 3 daughters!
I made the yellow one for another customer whose wife loves yellow and they have 9 kids so I represented that with 9 hearts and a big heart for the husband.

So I made several different sizes of rainbow stripes so I decided to turn this one into a birthday card.
This card is for the May Happy Mail Challenge at Scrapbook.com. Dawn.s put out a request: I do have a special request for a young lady who’s only wish for her 18th birthday is to receive cards in the mail. Her name is Julia and she is the niece of a friend of mine. Julia is autistic and will be graduating high school soon, from special needs classes, with the capabilities of a second grader. Her birthday is May 9th and handmade or store bought cards would be welcomed.

So I almost forgot to check out the monthly image at Gerda Steiner Designs. I’m so glad I checked with a few days left because it was this adorable panda. So I pulled out some new Queen & Co paper I bought and asked my husband to color it up in photoshop to match. My printer prints darker and not always the color on the screen so the first print was more green (see 2nd version) then the color in the striped paper. So after several attempts we got the color to match the papers and that is this version! I used Atlantic Hearts Sketch #248 as my inspiration.

I didn’t want to waste the first print out so I found paper that matched it and made this version. Well good thing I did because a lady bought one of each for her nieces!

So the theme of the December Inspirational Card Challenge at Scrapbook.com was Things that Fly. Here are two cards I made.
I had a request for a 7th birthday party with the theme of unicorns and rainbows. She sent me this card as an ideal of what she liked. The original card has rainbow lines behind the unicorn that reminded me of the paint splatter stamps that TexasMomOf4 always used so I had to buy some! So I finally got them out after having the stamps over a year! I found the unicorn digital stamp at Huckleberry Hearts. I used sketch #2 from November Card Sketch Challenge. Original sketch found at Taylored Expressions.
CHALLENGES: 1) December Inspirational Card Challenge @ scrapbook.com – Theme – things that fly. In a magical world I think unicorns fly!
SUPPLIES: Digital Stamp: Rainbow Unicorn from Huckleberry Hearts Cardstock: Bazzill (Berry Sensation, Yosemite, African Daisy, Pansy) Accents/Tools: Doodlebug Sprinkles (rainbow hearts), Queen and Co rhinestones, Cuttlebug dots embossing folder, EK Success 1/16 pop dots, Your Next Stamp (paint swooshes and splatters)
I made a card like this out of different doodlebug paper to send to a couple friends. Never got them sent 😦 I thought I had posted the Friend card but couldn’t find it in my files. Well several ladies at my card sell requested it as a Birthday Card instead of a friend card. So this is the Birthday Version.
CHALLENGES: 1) December Inspirational Card Challenge -theme – things that fly.
I had an order for a wedding card with shades of blue and silver. I made this one using a sketch from the Card Sketch Challenge and I thought it was okay. My husband was not impressed so I went back to the drawing board and made a different card.

So after the making the first one and it not working I searched the internet and found some inspiration. https://paberipalavik.blogspot.com/2015/06/noorpaarile.html
I used the colors of the wedding – shades of blue and silver. I used some old old Prima flowers I have had forever.

I had an order for a wedding with blues and grey tones and music themed…she is an opera singer. I didn’t get to April’s Card Sketch #2 – originally a Paper Craft Crew #235 – last month and when I looked at it I thought it would work for a wedding card. This is what I came up with and was very pleased with it.

So I needed a music themed birthday for a 96 year old (I made her one last year too). Since I had just made the music wedding card I thought maybe I could put flowers instead of hearts and this is how it turned out. The Recollections flowers were a RAK from TexasMomOf4 several years ago.

My big boss asked me to make a card for his wife. When asked for ideals he said hearts and flowers. Well Karen picked Cardabilities #112 sketch for the bonus sketch this month and I thought it just might work…and it did! I had no ideal if she liked purple or aqua when I made this so I was glad when he told me she liked those colors!
My husband was shocked when I showed him this card…he said it was out of my comfort zone. I said it was but it was and I got to play with a bunch of my new toys. He really liked it and always encourages me to try new things or things that scare me (inks!!) This I will turn this into a couple wedding cards I have coming up!

So I had been trying to think how to make the “baby and momma valentine card” into one that could be given to a husband from a wife only. So I came up with this Kissing Fish version! I used water color design paper from Michael’s to make the fish and the background. Love paper that lets me cheat cause I can’t make my own water color paper…doesn’t turn out as good! I used the same Tuesday Morning Sketch #388 as my inspiration.

nside: Our baby boy and I love you so much! Happy Valentine’s Day.
So a coworker is pregnant with their first baby. She asked for a card to give to her husband for Valentine’s that would be from her and their baby boy on the way. So went looking for pregnant woman images and then looked for mommy and baby animal images. This is an image from Coloring Pages For Kids. It was perfect as he is a fishermen. My husband colored it in Photoshop and then I cut them out so I could position them how I needed them on the card. I used Tuesday Morning Sketches #388 for my inspiration.

I had an order for a 23rd Wedding Anniversary card that was in December. The card was for her daughter and at the wedding they used her grandmother’s crystal/gold glasses for the toast….so that was my inspiration for the card.
