Using Green on Christmas Projects

WaitingForSanta

This card was inspired by the challenge at Sparkles Christmas Challenge #50 -your creation must be mostly Green and Christmas. When I found this image, Waiting for Santa, and saw he was already wearing Green I knew it would be perfect for this challenge! I like to use pre-colored images as I’m not great with coloring. I did sneak in a little red but I think it will still count as mostly Green. The cute twine was given to me by my friend, Deedee, so it was even more perfect to pair it with one of her cute images! I used and older sketch from Sketch~N~Scrap (card sketch #16) as my inspiration which is a current sketch at the March Card Sketch Challenge @ Scrapbook.com.

CHALLENGES:

1) Sparkles Christmas Challenge #50 – Use mostly Green and must be a Christmas card.

2) March Card Sketch Challenge @ Scrapbook.com – sketch #4

3) Completely Christmas Challenge #52 – add texture. My texture is the twine.

4) Craftyhazelnut’s Christmas Challenge #218 – Cut it up. I cut out the boy and pop dotted him on the card.

A WOW packed released at Clearly Digi Stamps!

Good Morning.

Today is a SUPER COOL day because my husband, Patrick, is releasing his first digital stamps! So that means I have a lot to post today since I will be making samples with his digital stamps! Plus I STILL had to play with the other digital stamps because they just are too darn cute not too! So I will try to keep the chatting to a minimal so this post isn’t a mile long!!

And the other AWESOME news is the new Clearly Digi Stamp store is finally up and running!! So come check it out I think you will like it!! **The old store will take you to the new store but if you want the address it is www.cdstamps.com

If you played in the all day challenge at Clearly iStamp or you stopped by to see what all the excitement was about then you would have seen this card already. But had to post it again because I like it a lot and it’s a digital stamp from my husband, Patrick. This is one dragon that you will get in the set called Dragons. I’m so lucky to have a talented husband that draws and a wonderful friend, Stephanine, that is amazing at sentiments for cards! They make my job a lot easier! I just love love love how this card turned out. It was all based off the wonderful sentiment. The sentiment isn’t included in the digital stamp but feel free to use it…..I just printed it out in word.

Since we are on the topic of Dragons check out this one, Knight Marshmallow Roast, as by Patrick. This is another sentiment that Stephanine (my nick name for her!) came up with!! I love that girl!

This image is perfect for Father’s Day, Birthdays or just a Hello or Encouraging card for someone in the military. Patrick hopes to have a series of these as we already have a request for a tank and Navy guy. If you have any request let me know. This is Soldier Tom, named after my step-dad who was in the army.

Happy Fathers Day-soldier

Now here is some inspiration from digital stamps for two other AWESOME designers we have on the team. I am truly blessed to be able to play with all these images.

This is Asian Plants from Laurie Wilson. I’m so happy with how this card turned out! Thanks Laurie for giving us such great images to work with.

Challenge:

1) Sentimental Sundays#154 – For a Special Woman

Austin made this cute image and asked for help with sentiments….so of course I go to Stephanie and this is what she comes up with! Of course we are laughing but I send it to Austin anyway and apparently laughter is contagious because Austin got a kick out of it too! So she decided to include it in her stamp set, Elephants and Umbrellas.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I was trying to figure out what image I wanted to use when I came across this quote and thought this image was PERFECT!! Check out Dearie Dolls Digi Stamps as she has WONDERFUL work and it’s free. Which is amazing….thank you Mary Ellen.

This will be the last challenge For Fun Challenges. Helen just has too many things going on and can’t devote to the challenge right now. Crafty should be fun and when it’s not it is time to look at things and change things. That time is now. I will miss the challenge but so glad I have made a friend for life. Hope you will come play with us one last time! The challenge is to have an Arrow on your project. Doesn’t have to be Valentine’s but most certainly can be. Or you could do a scrapbook page that has a regular arrow on it. Can’t wait to see what you come up with.

For this card I used the sketch from 02/04/13 at the Critter Sketch Challenge Blog.
