Poppy Mouse – Thanks

Thanks Mouse

So I bought this image several months ago to make a thank you card for some co-workers that saved my butt! They re-arranged their schedule to help me and I wanted to let them know how much I appreciated them. Well life got in the way and I hadn’t been able to make the card till tonight. I saw the challenge at Cute Card Thursday – One Word Sentiment. The challenge is being sponsored by Di’s Digi Stamps and this is one of her digital stamps so I had to play along. I thought sketch #2 at February Card Sketch Challenge @ Scrapbook.com would be perfect for this. I had the hardest time finding paper that I liked and could make it work with this sketch. I’m happy with the outcome! This also fits the Photo Inspiration Category at the February Inspirational Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com.

Original sketch is a Skipping Stones Design. Found it here: http://craftsbybeth.blogspot.com/2016/06/using-card-maps-series-ii.html

Nurse Birthday

A lady needed a birthday card for her friend who is a retired nurse. She is still active in the nursing community so she wanted a nursing theme. I used a free image from Free Dearie Dolls Digi Stamps – Get Well Mousie. I just got permission from Mary Ellen to remove the “get well” from the balloon and then my husband put “happy birthday” in there instead. Of course I used the Happy Birthday embossing folder…best and most used folder EVER!!

Birthday Presents

Hopefully my entry will count over at From the Heart Stamps Digi of the Month Challenge. We were given this adorable image and had to make a project with it.

Well I asked my husband to color it up for me if he had time and he said he would. Work did not cooperate with my needing his photoshop skills and they had him working extra so he has it mostly done but not completely. So I wasn’t going to worry about playing this month and would just buy next month’s image. But then I needed a birthday card for my brother who turns 37 on the 7th so I thought if I did the packages and took the bear off then it could be a birthday card! And that is how my card came about!

Birthday Presents2

Now I did two versions and can’t decide which one I like better!! I wanted to do paper piercing since the circle needed something but I forgot to pierce the holes before attaching it to the orange so I decided to do dots instead! Then I wanted my brothers more flat so I can mail it Saturday and I ran out of green brads so I went with stars! Which do you like better?

If it doesn’t count for the challenge I will just enter it into the Birthday challenge From the Heart Stamps has going on till Jan 3rd, 2016.

I used the last 😦 Sweet Sunday Sketch #300 (she is closing the blog) as my inspiration.

Patterned Paper: Pebblesinc ( Birthday Boy Dots, Birthday Boy Stripes)

Boss’ Day for a Nurse

Nurse Trudie

I made this card for the nurses in a doctor’s office to give to their boss for Boss’ Day (who is a nurse.) I used the free image from Dearie Dolls Digi Stamps to make a piece of paper from a notepad.
Inside says:
Well, if we don’t get off early
we hope you do!
Happy Boss’ Day!
