Cabin with chair

Cabin with chair

I had an order for a lady that works in NY but has a cabin she lives in when not working. She loves to go to cabin and enjoy nature. So when I found The Great Outdoors Kit (or cheaper version is Camping Kids) at Imagine That Digi Shop I knew it would be perfect. I added an extra tree to my scene. Pop dotted the fire wood stack, chair and the knobs sticking out on the actually cabin to make it feel more real. I still haven’t quiet figured out how to make my grass longer than the die without leaving that little mark…if you know the secret please do tell. The lady loved it and has it displayed on her work desk to reminder her of “cabin life”.

Anything Goes with a Birthday card and Easter card

Penny’s Paper-Crafty Challenge this week is Anything Goes. So I first made the birthday card for a friends brother in-law and decided it fit my father-in-law so I made him one too!

Great Outdoors Birthday

Then I decided to make a card for the Word Art Wednesday Challenge so I will share it at Penny’s Paper-Crafty Challenge also.

There is free Word Art of this scripture on the blog but it didn’t fit the space I had since it was more of horizontal sentiment. So I tried to mimic what she did and made it vertical. When I saw this scripture it made me think of this digital image by Deedee’s Digis so that is why I went with it.

I made this for a guy at work. He needed a birthday card for his dad. He sent me this photo and told me the sentiment to add so all I had to do is pick out a paper and find a sketch that went with it!

Campfire Thank You

You just never know where blessings from the Lord will come from. I received a call from one of the guys at the church today. He told me that his boss (who doesn’t go to our church) volunteered to buy the supplies to fix the fire pit at church when he heard about the need. Since I head up the card ministry at our church he wanted to see if the church could send him a Thank You card…..well, of course!! Praise God for always taking care of us.

So I went straight to this adorable image, S’mores Bears Digital Image, from Clear Dollar Stamps since it fit the theme….campfire/fire pit. It comes pre-colored or in outline and since I used the pre-colored version I just had to concentrate on making the card. I used The Deconstructed Sketch #52 and found this quote on the internet….and there you have it….a manly Thank You card!!
