Vintage Valentine

Valentine Vintage

*So I’m late posting this to the blog as I made it in Feb 2019.

I bought this paper at Hobby Lobby thinking it would be good for some customers. Well decided to make one for one of my bosses to give his wife. I have been making Valentine and Mother’s Day cards for her for the past 6 years (maybe longer). When she saw me she told me that she told her husband he was never allowed to buy a store bought card again for her!! I hope she likes this one….a little different than my normal style.

I used a sketch from last month’s January Card Sketch Challenge – Bonus sketch. Original sketch was Feeling Sketchy Challenge Blog #211.

SUPPLIES:
Cardstock: Bazzill (Ivy)
Patterned Paper: Vintage Valentine by The Paper Studio
Accents/Tools: pearls, cutter bee scissors, lace, 1/16 EK Success Pop dots

Wonderful Mother

Down to the wire but I made it! This is for the Imagine That Creative Playground Monthly Challenge. Link up a card using an Imagine That image and you get the month’s featured image! I really wanted this months featured image for Easter Cards!

I won a whole set of digital stamps in February from Imagine That Digital Stamps and this was one of the images from the Beary in Love Kit. I fussy cut out the flowers and added real pearls on top of the digital ones.

I used I {heart} Sketches #164 for my inspiration so it fit the Favorites Category of the March Inspirational Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com.

SUPPLIES:
Digital Image: Beary in Love Kit @ Imagine That Digital Stamps
Cardstock: Bazzill (Lava, Kachina), American Crafts (Bubblegum)
Inks: pre-colored digital image printed on Canon Inkjet Printer
Accents/Tools: Cuttlebug Wicker Weave embossing folder, Recollections pearls, EK Success 1/16 pop dots, Fiskars large corner rounder

I can’t remember where I saw that challenge a month or so ago but liked it so I used it for Product Category in the November Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com.  Here is my take on the challenge:

Special Lady

The challenge today at Allsorts Challenge Blog is Lace & Pearls. I’m not a lace and pearls kind of girl…give me strips, polka dots and non frilly and I’m good. But I needed a birthday card for my 85 year old Aunt and thought she would like this image. So I figured I could “try” to do this challenge. I even went out and bought some lace!! The lace is on there even if you can’t see much of it! I used the sketch from Digi Sketch Challenge as my inspiration.

CHALLENGES:

1) Digi Sketch Challenge – Use the sketch or theme (cute & sparkly). I used just the sketch

2) Jan Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com – Theme – pick your own….which I picked Birthday.

Digital Image: Special Lady @ Deedee’s Digis

Merry Deer

I have been wanting to use this image for a very long time but my coloring skills are not that great. So I was super excited when she re-released (was a Clearly Digital Stamp) Merry Deer in a Color version! I only had time to make the gold version of this card but I hope to try this layout with the purple and teal versions also included in the digital stamp.

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring Fab ‘n’ Funky Challenge #194 – Anything Goes. Fab ‘n’ Funky is celebrating their 4th birthday so come over and play along!! Lots of prizes by different sponsors being offered.  Since the challenge was anything goes I looked at other current challenges out there to see what could inspire my card. I am not a CAS (clean and simple) kind of girl but I was intrigued by the recipe challenge at 52 {Christmas} Card Challenge which is a recipe. Now I didn’t end up following it because I just had to have more than one layer and I liked pearls better than sparkle but I kept it in mind when I started figuring out my card. Since I was trying to do the recipe I found a CAS sketch that I thought would work so I used CAS(E) this Sketch #54 as my inspiration.

CTS_Sketch_54

I then used the other challenges below to inspire my card.
