Slam Dunk Thank You

Inside: Thank You!

Last month at work we were raising money for Big Brothers Big Sister. The local Police Dept (SPD) and the local Sheriff Dept (GCSD) play a basketball game every year where all the money raised goes to Big Brothers Big Sisters. Well my boss started talk crud that he could out sell me on tickets/donations to Big Brother Big Sister. So I told him it was on like Donkey Kong!! I sent an email to my family and friends and in less than 2 weeks they raised $550.00!!! Yay for family and friends!! As my SIL would say “we crushed him!” as my boss only raised $240.00. But we accomplished the main goal and that was we beat the Sheriff’s dept in raising the most money! So to thank my family and friends I made 19 of these cards to send out!

I did black and blue to represent that the local Police Dept (SPD) won!! The image is a free clip art I found on the internet. I used sketch #4 of the April Card Sketch Challenge.

1) April Card Sketch Challenge – Sketch #4 – original sketch MFTWSC326.

Supplies:
Clip Art: Basketball Net Clipart @ Clipart Kid
Cardstock: Bazzill (Bazzill Blue, Pumpkin Patch, White, Raven)
Inks: pre-colored digital image printed on Canon Inkjet Printer
Accent/Tools: corner rounder

I’m so excited! Laurie was so sweet and asked me to be a Guest DT member for the month of November!! What a wonderful honor to be able to create with her beautiful images. She is an amazing artist and Christian Business owner (and I’m not just saying that because she let me be a guest). Check out her store and blog and you will see what I mean. If you have never played in her month long challenge YOU NEED TO!! You will get a FREE Digital Stamp if you use a Doodle Pantry image. This month the FREE Image for playing along with a Doodle Pantry image is Snowman Pile Up  (see below) The challenge will start at noon at the Doodle Pantry Blog so make sure to come back and check it out!

Can you believe you can get this image FREE just for playing along in a challenge and using a Doodle Pantry image. Which if you don’t have one there are SUPER DUPER (yes, that is a word) FREE ones on the FREE Page at the store.

And speaking of FREE there will be THREE FREE Previously sold at CDS Images – Choo Choo, Triple Chicks and Candy Apple. And then Three FREE with Purchase images – Floral Jug, Spring Violets and Sweet Stuff. And a brand NEW RELEASE, Vintage Fan, will be free with purchase until Nov 24th so hurry over to the store and pick it up with a few other creations!

So I’m sure you are just dying to see what images I got to play with so far this month. I picked two for release day but I have plenty of ideals in my head so there is no telling how many I will get done this month. I first played with Sitting Peacock image which is an older outline image that she has now added color to it and a NEW image of the peacock.

I made the first card and wasn’t sure it showed it off as well as I wanted so I made card #2 also. So hopefully you can truly see how beautiful and versatile this image is to work with!

By the way if you want a perfect match on the cardstock she provides solid colors along with the patterned paper. So I printed it off on Bazzill white and had perfectly matching bazzill color paper! LOVE IT!!
