Last Christmas Cards for 2017!

My last Christmas Order wasn’t due until Jan 12th so I was able to work on them the beginning of the month.

Panda Christmas

I couldn’t find Christmas Panda images that fit in my cuteness category….I’m probably going to have to break down and buy some clear stamps! So I just saw some Panda stickers in my stash the other day so I thought I would look at them and see if I could make them into a Christmas Card. Well this card design just came to me so I went with it. I was pretty excited how it turned out!

Thank you Trek for my Tim Holtz christmas word dies!!

Christmas Daughter - Margie
This was the card for the lady’s daughter. She wanted a card that told her what a wonderful daughter she was. When I bought the paper in Branson and it had all these cute photo cards she picked one for SIL (see previous card) and one for her daughter. I used Jan Card Sketch #1 as my inspiration. I just moved the paper over to the left because I wanted more of it to show and added epoxy dots instead of a sentiment.

Rockin’ Christmas 6 x 6 Paper Pad

Ho Ho Ho Card.JPG

This was another card made for the regular (guy from our old church) card customer that needed 20 cards. I had bought a 6 x 6 paper pad at Hobby Lobby in the fall because it was cute and on sale. Well it was perfect as I made several cards from the paper in the pack. I used Tuesday Morning Sketches #371 as my inspiration.

Another one made with the 6 x 6 paper pad since I needed to make 20 cards quick. I started out with a sketch but it didn’t work so ended up with this.

Ho Ho Ho Santa.JPG

So I started out making the snowflake card and I cut this piece of polka dot paper but it didn’t end up working out. So I found this square image of Santa in the paper pack and thought it fit perfectly on here once it was mounted on black cardstock. Simple but it works!

So I had these scraps sitting on my desk after make 3 different cards from a 6 x 6 paper pad. Decided to use them to make a simple but cute Christmas card. I added snowflakes to the middle panel then added stickles to all three panels (hard to see in the photo).

Gift Cards and Money Holders

In October I made a gift card holder so when I sold my cards at our work bazaar I placed them out and let people know I could make different ones since I ran out of time to have several designs displayed. I got orders….so I had to make up more!! I also had a lady ask if I could do money cards so I told her yes, so I had to make those up too. Now money cards were a little tricky finding a size that looked right for money and then finding envelopes. I got my inspiration from this blog but she used Stampin’ Up envelopes that I believe are discontinued as I couldn’t find them in a current catalog.  I figured out what size I needed it to be around and after searching the internet I found 3 7/8 x 7 1/2 envelopes at envelopesexpress.com so the finished card is 3 1/2 x 7 1/4.

I started with the gift cards holders since I already had one made for the order (the deer I made in October). She also wanted the cat image I made a card with and then an ice skater. I was excited about the ice skater as I bought this image, Bella Ice Skate, by Kristi Dailey several years ago and have never had the time to use it. She said the girls hair was between a blond and light brown so I did both and she chose the blond! The original gift card holder ideal I got my inspiration from was at Dawn’s Stamping Thoughts.

The lady who wanted the money orders wasn’t exactly sure what images she wanted so I made up an ice skater and the reindeer and sent her photos.

Money Holder - Ice Skater

I used I {heart} Sketches #101 as my inspiration.

Here is what the inside looks like:

I also made a regular card this size to see what they would look like. *Sorry the lighting is not that great. I got a new camera and still trying to figure out how to use it!

December Card Class

I have already shown 2 cards we made in card class but here are the other 2 cards.

Joy to the World

This is a card I did for the card class I teach. I wanted an angel Christmas card so I asked my wonderful husband to draw me an angel and this is what he came up with! He designed it after our niece Kailee. I picked the colors and then made the card around the angel.

Challenge:
1) Dec Card Challenge – Favorites Category. I used Deconstructed Sketch #129 that I had saved in my favorites.

SantaReindeer

This is one of the cards that I designed for the card class I teach. I used a paper pack from Hobby Lobby for the Santa Image.
The design was inspired by a sketch and card that are very similar.

Oh I totally forgot about it being Digital Release Day at Clear Dollar Stamps! The releases are totally cute and so many different styles I’m sure you will find a couple that you MUST HAVE!!

I couldn’t resist playing with Austin’s new Autumn Digital Stamp. The scarecrow just had to be made into a card but then I decided to play in word and combine the food together. Well, then that just went so easily into the October Card Challenge – Sketch Category at Scrapbook.com I made that card too! I used Sketch: Seems A Little Sketchy #23 for the Scarecrow card.

Scarecrow Card Inside: I hope you don’t think I’ve baled on you… How ya been?

I then played with the pre-colored Patchpal Reindeer Digital Image

I used Try Stampin’ on Tuesday Sketch #87 for my inspiration.
