So the Digi of the Month at DeeDee’s Digital, So Cool, is this adorable penguin in a Bathtub…

but I could not figure out a card using it the way it was so I started thinking Christmas card. Well, after I saw Pippa’s totally cool card that she entered I wish I would have thought tropical drinks! But instead of copying Pippa I decided to stick to my Christmas ideal. I had my husband put the santa hat from Doodle Pantry’s Santa Accessories Digital Stamp on the penguin. I struggled with coming up with a card for several hours. During that struggle I created this card but didn’t like the penguin on it (didn’t say Christmas to me) so I stuck a Mickey sticker and turned it into a birthday card.

Sketch: Deconstructed Sketch #90
CHALLENGES:
1) August Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com – Theme Category – Birthday
2) Seize the Birthday – Create a Birthday and use the topping of all yellow if you want. I did not use the topping.
So I decided I needed more color so I cut out the presents and pop dotted them in front of the penguin. The presents are also from the Santa Accessories Digital Image.

After finding the right paper and using the sketch from MOJO Monday #337 I finally liked it!! I’m not sure Deedee meant for me to change her digi completely but I couldn’t help it!
CHALLENGES:
1) August Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com – Favorites Category – an old sketch saved in my favorites
