It’s a Girl baby cards

I needed a baby girl card for one of the guys at work. She was born in May so I’m doing pretty good for me!! Several Christmas’ ago my husband picked out scrapbook supplies for one of my Christmas gifts. He picked out this ephemera pack by Carta Bella “It’s a Girl”. Well I had just reorganized part of my scrapbook room. So with cute supplies, several card sketches and organized supplies I started with this card and ended up making 5 cards since the inspiration just kept coming.

Stitchy Cross

I made this for my friend I met on-line several years ago. Her 18 yr old son was diagnosed last month, Dec 2014, with bone cancer. He has started his 6 month chemo treatments. I made him a card but I also wanted to make her a card to encourage her as she goes through this battle with him. When praying and asking God what she needed to hear he advised me to send this verse. So I paired it with a stitched cross from Deedee’s Digis. The design inspiration for this card came from the Deconstructed Sketch # 183.

CHALLENGES:

1) Suzy Bee’s Bloomin’ Challenge #65 – Stitching – faux or real. I went with the stitching in the design of the cross.

2) Feb Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com – Bonus – Stitching

SUPPLIES:

Digital Image: Stitchy Crosses @ Deedee’s Digis

Cardstock: Bazzill

Inks: pre-colored digital image printed on Canon Inkjet Printer

Accents/Tools: Cricut Cuttlebug (Anna Griffin – Rosa) embossing folder, pop dots, Fiskar’s Fuse

Sew Thankful

Sewing Thank You

So I changed jobs at work and my new position requires me to wear a uniform. I haven’t worn a uniform in 8 years so had to buy all new ones. Well, I got them just 2 days before having to wear them and they didn’t fit. So I called the Tailor shop up the street from my house. As soon as I told her my issues and that I would need it done in one day she said No problem come on in. She was an angel sent from God above and saved the day! I plan on getting a gift card to a local restaurant to thank her for work extra to squeeze me in and getting my uniforms done in one day. Diane’s Daydream Designs set – Life is Sew Sweet – sewing notions is perfect for this.

I cut out the drawn thread and used real floss as thread. I printed out an extra set of buttons to cut them out and pop dot them on the card. I used a past Tuesday Morning Sketch #273 as my inspiration.
