My last Christmas Order wasn’t due until Jan 12th so I was able to work on them the beginning of the month.
I couldn’t find Christmas Panda images that fit in my cuteness category….I’m probably going to have to break down and buy some clear stamps! So I just saw some Panda stickers in my stash the other day so I thought I would look at them and see if I could make them into a Christmas Card. Well this card design just came to me so I went with it. I was pretty excited how it turned out!
Thank you Trek for my Tim Holtz christmas word dies!!

When I bought the paper in Branson and it had all these cute photo cards she picked one for SIL (see previous card) and one for her daughter. I used Jan Card Sketch #1 as my inspiration. I just moved the paper over to the left because I wanted more of it to show and added epoxy dots instead of a sentiment. I had this image on my desk with buttons that I pulled for it earlier in the year but never made a card with it. I needed a card for a regular customer so I thought this image would work perfectly. This image is from a paper pack I bought a couple years ago. It has several journal cards with images on them. I ended up using several this year to make quick cards. I used Freshly Made Sketches #268 for my inspiration.
My Christmas stash is gone so needed to make some Christmas cards. When I saw this FREE image I thought it would make super cute cards and I have a friend that would love it! And I think my step-MIL will like this one too! One of my regulars needed a card for a friend of his and he didn’t have anything in mind. So I thought this would work. I sent him a photo and his response was “can I have that one for my mom instead!” He said she loves Cardinals. So then I had to think of another card for his friend (see button Christmas tree). I added stickles to the snowflakes and snow mounds but the snowflake sparkle didn’t show up very well. I used this card from Taylored Expressions as my inspiration.
CHALLENGES: 1) December Inspirational Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com – Lift Category – lift a card from Taylored Expressions blog or Pinterest. 2) December Scraplift your Favorites @ Scrapbook.com – Any Favorite. You can lift a favorite layout, a favorite card, a favorite sketch, a favorite project or whatever your favorites may be. It can be a favorite from anywhere (Pinterest, blog, scrapbook.com, etc).

A lady at work has an elderly friend that loves penguins. So this is the 2nd year she has requested a box card set to give her friend as a gift (then her friend will have 5 cards to hand out next year). I make the cards flat so it is easier for her mail. I used Tuesday Morning Sketches #328 as my inspiration. She gets 5 cards and 5 envelopes in the handmade box (see next photo).
CHALLENGES: 1) December Inspirational Card Challenge – Bonus – something that begins with “s” or “t” – toboggan sled, snowflakes, scarfs, stocking hat, snow, sledding
SUPPLIES: Digital Image: Penguins Sledding @ Miss Kate Cuttables Cardstock: Bazzill (lava, white, Yosemite, Classic Yellowgreen) Inks: pre-colored digital image printed on a Canon Inkjet Printer Accents/Tools: Darice snowflake embossing folder, Flocking,
This is the box that the Christmas cards come in.
So then I make a card similar to the ones that are in the set for the lady to give her friend. I used Digi Sketch Challenge (8/18/14) as my inspiration.

So this is for the grandson of the lady at work. He is into cowboy/rodeo stuff so when I saw this FREE digital stamp from Free Dearie Dolls I knew it would be perfect. When I was in OK last month I found that the bigger town I take my aunt to for shopping has a scrapbook/craft store. I found this wonderful paper there and knew it would be perfect for this image. I did change the trim on him to blue as it was red in the original. She had snow drops on the original but when I added stickles it turned it grey because of the ink. So then I went with Flocking but it doesn’t stay as fluffy once on the glue. So I’m probably using the wrong glue. Bu if you look close there is flocked snow falling on and around him.

This was another card made for the regular (guy from our old church) card customer that needed 20 cards. I had bought a 6 x 6 paper pad at Hobby Lobby in the fall because it was cute and on sale. Well it was perfect as I made several cards from the paper in the pack. I used Tuesday Morning Sketches #371 as my inspiration.

So I started out making the snowflake card and I cut this piece of polka dot paper but it didn’t end up working out. So I found this square image of Santa in the paper pack and thought it fit perfectly on here once it was mounted on black cardstock. Simple but it works!
CHALLENGES:
1) December Inspirational Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com – product – 6 x 6 paper pad.
So I had these scraps sitting on my desk after make 3 different cards from a 6 x 6 paper pad. Decided to use them to make a simple but cute Christmas card. I added snowflakes to the middle panel then added stickles to all three panels (hard to see in the photo).

I have a standing order for a lady at work to make her daughter, son-in-law, and 3 grandchildren cards for Christmas. She said for her son-in-law this year she wanted something to do coal and “don’t be naughty”. Well I immediately thought of this Santa looking at his list from Gerda Steiner Designs – Wishlist Santa. I found this saying on the internet and then the inside says “Don’t be Naughty! Merry Christmas”. She said it was perfect and exactly what she wanted. I used Sketch Saturday #430.
SUPPLIES: Digital Image: Wishlist Santa @ Gerda Steiner Designs Cardstock: Bazzill (Raven, White) Patterned Paper: Doodlebug Design (here comes Santa – Happy Holly Day) Inks: husband colored it in Photoshop and then it was printed on a Canon Inkjet Printer Accents/Tools: Doodlebug brads, Carta Bella Snow Flurries embossing folder
My co-workers and I decided to go in together and get my boss a gift card so I needed to make him a card for all of us to sign. You can’t buy a card when they know you are a card maker!! He is into woodworking so I got cool wood snowflakes, tags and wording that I was going to use to make his card. Well, it was suggested that he is a big Kansas City Chiefs fan so a Chiefs Christmas card would be perfect. So I went searching the internet and came across this ugly sweater photograph. I printed it out on Bazzill white and cut it out. I then Pop dotted it to give it dimension. I used Atlantic Heart Sketch #185 as my inspiration.
Okay here is the finished product without any errors (well at least noticeable to me!)
So of course this was done at the last minute for the monthly challenge at From the Heart Stamps…not planned. I was actually not going to worry about it and just buy next months image but I saw a sketch on a challenge at scrapbook.com and thought it would work perfect and could be done quickly. Well, nothing goes quickly or smoothly when you are tired and have an hour before a challenge ends! I do like the finished product though and plan on making it in several different colors and patterned paper. I’m going through my scraps and if it would look cute paper pieced I’m making it. Need to use up supplies this year!!
