Heartfelt Thank You

One of my friends requested this card. She follows Cards for Cops Facebook page and saw that they were requesting Thank You cards to be sent to the lady in Baton Rouge that helped the police officer that was in a fight for his life. So I remembered this sweet angel, Angel Caroline, done by Faith a long time ago (before she renamed the store to From the Heart Stamps). I colored her up with my minimal Photoshop skills and put stickles on her wings. Probably shouldn’t have covered the smaller parts and it just bleed over the black but I still think it looks okay. I used Atlantic Hearts Sketch #198 for my inspiration. I used the colors from the I {heart} Sketch challenge #163.

Rockin’ Christmas 6 x 6 Paper Pad

This was another card made for the regular (guy from our old church) card customer that needed 20 cards. I had bought a 6 x 6 paper pad at Hobby Lobby in the fall because it was cute and on sale. Well it was perfect as I made several cards from the paper in the pack. I used Tuesday Morning Sketches #371 as my inspiration.

So I started out making the snowflake card and I cut this piece of polka dot paper but it didn’t end up working out. So I found this square image of Santa in the paper pack and thought it fit perfectly on here once it was mounted on black cardstock. Simple but it works!

So I had these scraps sitting on my desk after make 3 different cards from a 6 x 6 paper pad. Decided to use them to make a simple but cute Christmas card. I added snowflakes to the middle panel then added stickles to all three panels (hard to see in the photo).

Happy Mother’s Day Bouquet Banner

So last year I found one sheet of each of this paper and decided to buy it even though I struggle using the journaling cards. Since everything is on there sometimes I feel the card is too plain. But I decided to see how many I could make up in one night and I made 5!! I will post the others later but this one was inspired by Anna’s card as part of the April Inspirational Card Challenge so I wanted to post it. Thanks Anna for the inspiration!!

Cards inspired by stickers

So you have heard me talk about that I’m on a kick to use my stuff that I have in piles everywhere. One of the ladies at scrapbook.com started a sticker challenge. I thought that would be great to play along as I have 2 sticker binders (remember those 12 + years ago!!) full of them. A lot of the stickers I have are for scrapbook pages and are to big for cards but I still have a several I could use up!

So I went into my sticker binder looking for stickers to make cards with and came across two packs that I think were from the $1 bin at Wal-mart but not positive. This is what I came up with:
