Last Christmas Cards for 2017!

My last Christmas Order wasn’t due until Jan 12th so I was able to work on them the beginning of the month.

Panda Christmas

I couldn’t find Christmas Panda images that fit in my cuteness category….I’m probably going to have to break down and buy some clear stamps! So I just saw some Panda stickers in my stash the other day so I thought I would look at them and see if I could make them into a Christmas Card. Well this card design just came to me so I went with it. I was pretty excited how it turned out!

Thank you Trek for my Tim Holtz christmas word dies!!

Jan Inspirational Card Challenge – cold – polar bears live in the cold and there is snow embossed background. He also must be cold as he has a hat and scarf on!

Christmas Son-in-law - Margie

Christmas Daughter - Margie
This was the card for the lady’s daughter. She wanted a card that told her what a wonderful daughter she was. When I bought the paper in Branson and it had all these cute photo cards she picked one for SIL (see previous card) and one for her daughter. I used Jan Card Sketch #1 as my inspiration. I just moved the paper over to the left because I wanted more of it to show and added epoxy dots instead of a sentiment.

Wonder Woman Bravery

Wonder Woman Hero

Inside: You deflected that illness like Wonder Woman stopped bullets! (My friend and I came up with the saying….I have the bestest friend!)

One of our co-workers daughter fought an unknown illness recently which was during her senior year of high school. Through all the test and surgeries they didn’t know if it was cancer or not. They just found out last month that it is NOT cancer!! So we wanted her to know how tough she was through this all and how proud we were of her bravery. The family loves comic books so we thought Wonder Woman was appropriate for the occasion!

CHALLENGES:
1) July Inspirational Card Challenge – theme – vintage/retro. This is a pretty retro wonder woman!!
2) Cardmakers Card Challenge – sketch #8 – I decided to make mine square instead of rectangle. Then I moved the circle from the right to the left and made it a rectangle. And instead of flags on the bottom I did another rectangle.
the original sketch is from Always Playing with Paper found here: http://alwaysplayingwithpaper.blogspot.com/2014/04/the-challenge-4-million-one.html

SUPPLIES:
Stickers: Creative Imaginations (Wonder Woman)
Accents/Tools: The Paper Studio Embossing Folder (stars), EK Success 1/16 pop up dots

Sweet Baby Boy and Girl

Sweet Baby Boy

I made three cards for my old boss to choose from…this is one of them. I was inspired by this card
http://sylvia-anne-poppyspapercraftpatch.blogspot.com/2014/03/sweet-baby-girl-at-atcas.html
I don’t do white space well so I decided to have a colored background that matched by alphabet stickers!! I used the Hammer Embossing Technique. The blue one wasn’t done well because it was my first try…I learned you do have to hit pretty hard.

I also made this in pink since I had pink stickers just like the blue… and I made 2 in each color since I did one in all caps and the other in all lower case.

Cards inspired by stickers

So you have heard me talk about that I’m on a kick to use my stuff that I have in piles everywhere. One of the ladies at scrapbook.com started a sticker challenge. I thought that would be great to play along as I have 2 sticker binders (remember those 12 + years ago!!) full of them. A lot of the stickers I have are for scrapbook pages and are to big for cards but I still have a several I could use up!

So I went into my sticker binder looking for stickers to make cards with and came across two packs that I think were from the $1 bin at Wal-mart but not positive. This is what I came up with:

Vellum Vase Sticker

I used this card (http://archive.feedblitz.com/303249/~3876871) as my inspiration.

CHALLENGES:

  1. Allsorts Challenge Blog #356 – Wings – My butterflies have wings.
  2. March Sticker Challenge @ Scrapbook.com – use your stickers!
  3. March Inspirational Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com – Favorite Category – pick a card or sketch you have saved and lift it!

SUPPLIES:

Stickers: unknown

Cardstock: Bazzill (Berry Blush, Tapioca, Guacamole, White)

Accents/Tools: Cuttlebug embossing folder, Darice embossing folder,

Bee Flower Sticker

I used OWH Sketch #256 as inspiration for this card.

CHALLENGES:

  1. C.R.A.F.T. Challenge #356 – add some bling. There was bling in the flowers and then I added some to the top right corner.

  3. March Sticker challenge @ Scrapbook.com – use your stickers!
  4. March Inspirational Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com – Favorite Category – pick a card or sketch you have saved and lift it!

These are generic and could be used for different occasions so I left them blank till I know what I want to use them for.
