Happy Birthday

I made this card for my niece Kenzee for her 17th birthday. I was late but finally got it in the mail.

*Made in March…late posting it to the blog.

I used a sketch I had saved: Paper Play Sketches #33. Made it horizontal instead of vertical.

SUPPLIES:
Cardstock: Bazzill (watermelon)
Patterned Paper: Echo Park (Fashionista)
Accents/Tools: EK Success edge punch (dotted wave)

SUPPLIES:

Mothers Day Style

Inside: When I grow up, I hope to have style as cool as you!

One of the guys at work learned (the hard way on his wife’s 1st Mother’s Day after they adopted their baby girl) that he is suppose to get a card for his wife from their daughter. So he asked if I could make one that was centered around their girl and that they both like clothes and shopping. He also said his daughter loves the color purple so this is what I came up with.

CHALLENGES:

  1. Melonheadz Friends – Pastel Color Challenge – I used pastel colors and a Melonheadz image!!
  2. C.R.A.F.T. Challenge #362 – Paper Piecing – I pieced the girls outfit with coordinating papers.
  3. Aloha Friday Challenge #71 – Girly Cards
  4. Sugar Sketch Challenge #52 – use the sketch provided. Instead of a half circle I used a rectangle. And instead of one embellishment I used 3 gems.

SUPPLIES:

Cardstock: Bazzill

Patterned Paper: KI Memories (from long long time ago)

Inks: pre-colored digital image printed on Canon Inkjet Printer

Accents/Tools: gems, embossing folder, Fiskars scallop border punch

Technique: paper pieced the clothes.
