Flip Flop Birthday Card
All the ladies I work with are very supportive of my hobby and will even buy my cards! One of the ladies asked me to make a birthday card for her granddaughter that was turning 5. I asked her what her granddaughter liked and without hesitation she said, “flip flops”. Grandma is even making a flip flops cake….now that is talent! So I searched the internet and found an image I thought I could cut out and build my own flip flops! Oh and the birthday girl likes pink so that is why it is a main color! I had to put 5 flowers on each shoe and gems since she is a girly girl too! The flower/splash chipboard behind the #5 was a happy accident. I tried circles and tags and nothing looked right. So I went to my pile of a million chipboard pieces I got for $5 at M’s and there it was the perfect shade of blue water splash/flower! It had cream lines on it so I took my white Signo pen (that I love) and changed the doodles to white. It was the perfect touch! Inside says: Happy Birthday!

Inspired from CAS-ual Friday DT member Kryssi Ng
I saw Kryssi Ng’s card on CAS-ual Friday Challenge #7 and fell in love with it. It was simple but soft and pretty. The lady at work also wanted an anniversary card for her daughter’s 7th wedding anniversary. I felt this was the perfect design. Thank you Kryssi for the inspiration.
