Racoon - Be Happy

I had a request from a lady who wanted a birthday card for her niece that was in her 20’s. One of the things she liked was raccoons so I decided this image from Gerda Steiner was perfect. The lady requested “be happy” on the sign.

April Inspirational Card Challenge – Theme – Birthday

SUPPLIES:
Digital Image: Racoon Digital StampGerda Steiner Stamps.
Cardstock: Bazzill (parakeet, brown, starmist, african daisy)
Metal Dies: Spellbinders (Suns and clouds), Joy crafts (clouds), io dies (tiny flowers)
Accents/tools: Nuvo drops (Ivory seashell), pop dots
Colors: digital stamp colored in Photoshop by my husband.

I then decided this would be the perfect card to send to a nursing home in Texas asking for cards during the quarantine.

Racoon - Happy Thoughts

The guys at work told me to take a day off since it has been a stressful month. They told me to make cards or something. Well that night I saw a post where a retirement/nursing home in Texas wanted cards sent to the residents. So I told them I made this so they all they had to sign it!! What was funny was that I didn’t bring in right away and they even asked me where the card was for the “nursing home!!” They try to be tough but they have soft hearts!!

I just changed the sign to “Sending Happy Thoughts” to make it a thinking of you from Missouri card.

Palm Tree Beach Birthday

So I made a card similar to this one last year (see below) …but forgot to post it! But a lady requested a palm tree/beach card for her nephew. This version is different because I used a new sun die I recently got (instead of part of a circle) and made the sand bigger on this one. I made the letters the same color as the sand in hopes it looks like it was drawn in the sand!

CHALLENGES:
1) April Inspirational Card Challenge @ Scrapbook.com – theme – weather. Not sure if this is what Karen had in mind but it is SUNNY WEATHER on this card! (so wish I was there!)

The challenge today at Clearly iStamp is SPRING!! I struggled a little with what to use on this challenge. The images I thought that would work perfectly I had already used lately so didn’t want to use them again.  This image came out a month ago and I didn’t get to use it then so I figured this was a perfect time to play with it! I paper pieced the image and used up some Doodlebug Scraps I had.  I decided to make two cards for this challenge while I had the supplies out.

Here is my favorite!

And here is the other one using up the supplies I had on my desk!
